The App is wonderful ! It works perfect ! It's free! So, there's my review., tell everyone with iPhone 4What I don't get is that Apple has their own proprietary software (FaceTime) but it does not work on 3G., yet they allow this app to provide the identical service...... Why not just FaceTime! My best guess tells me that this app won't last long on App Store, so grab it now.. It is what makes iPhone 4 an iPhone 4.. I hope the developers give us lots of great updates and plenty more function. And if Apple is to continue to provide this app for it's customers., I'll be a happy dude... Way to go! FaceTime on 3G should have come with iPhone 4 out of the box,. It didn't . But now I have Tango.! Apple, take notice of what your customers are asking for! Tango has! Thanks again Tango.

Great for the fact that you can have FaceTime-esque video calls over 3G. Works quite well on iPhone 4 and 3GS (3GS needs to use a mirror because of the lack of a forward-facing camera). Like the fact that you can reverse swap your view with the other caller's. Only wish audio were louder and that there were configurable settings.Overall, the closest thing I've seen to FaceTime over 3G without jailbreaking.

I just got off my iphone using Tango to video chat with my friend on his EVO!! It worked great!! Full screen!! At first we were fringing but the screen wasn't full and the quality was not as good as tango. I used it both on WiFi and 3G. Was able to turn camera around and everything. If you have a hard time, just keep playing with it. My tips are blank also but I don't care!! It works great!!!

FaceTime is a pain to use. If you have wifi chances are you have a webcam too. FaceTime also takes a while to load and connect. This app is instantaneous and even works in background of iP4 so don't have to keep app running. Clear pic and good sound... Even has option to switch to rear camera. The ringer is very loud as well. Very thought out app. Finally can take advantage if the video phone feature!

I love this app!! Almost as good as facetime but even better cause it can be used on the 3g network (we pay for internet ao whu not video call on 3g right?) it really utilizes the ip4 to its full potential... I agree about the volume being low.. But i try to use my headset and that fixes the problem.. I wish everyone would download tango because it doeant require u to make a kajillion accounts that i have to give out to people (unlike fring)... Not hating on fring.. Just sayin.. Tangos definitely surpassed what frings got to offer..

I love this app. My wife loves this app. My kids love this app. Even my 60+ year old parents (who bought iPhone 4's.. I know, huh?) love this app. This app changed me life; made me into a better human being and makes me breakfast in the morning. It's seriously awesome. Get it!Oh, wish it would rotate & integrate a bit nicer into the contact list of the phone; but, I'm sure that's an Apple restriction rather than a development limitation.This app also needs a desktop app to go with it. But, it's seriously amazing! Thank you!

A new number I added to my phone book wasn't showing up so I deleted the app and reinstalled. Now everytime you open it asks if you want to add your contacts which it imports nothing at all and needs my info. NOTHING SAVES please fix and I will change rating- Update- Today I had a video test call with the co- founder and was able to have a call with my buddy from NC to NY the app isn't perfect yet but they are definitely working hard to get it there. Worth the dl and patients while they get this working 100%

The title says it all! I gave up on fring due to poor quality of video chatting but read the review on All Things Digital about Tango and downloaded it to try. I am glad I didn't have the same problems as others cause it worked flawlessly the very first time. The video and audio quality is very similar to what I saw on facetime on an iPhone 4. I am using a 3GS w/ iOS4.1 (not jailbroken) and so are the other people I called with Tango. Thanks for a great app!!

I'm completely dismayed by those who so quickly dismiss this amazing app. I had minor registration problems and had to re-register another line on my account and then "confirm" it. Several others had similar stumbles. However, to be able to have something so close to FaceTime over 3G is amazing. I've been using it all day to people all over the world, going between WiFi and 3G, and it's been fantastic. THANK YOU Sgiggle!!!

LOOK THIS APP DOES NOT SUPPORT / INSTALL ON IPHONE 3G!!Stop posting 1star negative reviews YOU MORONS!Those that can't get it to work make sure you select your country code by clicking the + box!!!! Then the contacts will show up with other users that you know have it installed on their mobiles.*Video calls for iPhone 4 just got better!*This is a good replacement for FaceTime and video calls over 3G and is better as it does more!!!Works similar to whatsapp by adding your friends who have it installed already on their phone. This works from iPhone4 to iPhone4 to HTC/Droid mobiles etc so more people to video call not just IPhone 4 users like FaceTime!It's FREE and hats off to you guys for bringing a nice easy app for video calling.The rest of you idiots with a 3G iPhone that post 1 star reviews saying it doesn't work... well how is it going to it's not supported as that iPhone has no front facing camera so cannot do proper video calling face to face!!Now I just need to send invites to my friends so we can catch up over video calls!! :)

It's amazing for a brand new app! I use this when I'm out with a 3G connection. Quality is as good as facetime. However, there's room for improvement in that there is still no multi tasking support such that you can run it in e background! U can receive calls in e background, but you can't background a call. Another great feature is the auto scan contact list. It's similar to whatsapp but less troublesome because you don't have to wait for an SMS. Keep it up and thank you guys! This app is a keeper for sure.

Update: tango was down for a bit where I'd try to set up a friends phone and it wouldn't remember. I sure wish people that put neg. reviews would change them since it's fixed and up and running. C'mon guys give it a chance! Also names list refreshes only when you kill the app in multitasking and restart tango. Video quality is really good on a low 3G signal. Imagine on wifi. Also the image takes up the whole screen like facetime. Not buggy like Fring either. Very good work. I was hoping it would work on a pc since my poor dear sweet wife has a 3GS and has to fiddle with a mirror so that she can see me and I can see her at the same time.Feedback:Some room for improvement. Won't connect via Bluetooth or connector so I can't hear over car speakers. Volume is very low unless I have earbuds. I find I have to try a few times before the other person is notified. Some minor instability.

I love how I can FaceTime on this app over the 3G network with my friends who have the iPhone and the Evo which is how it should've been when Apple released this phone. The only issue with this app is the volume and the clarity. I have my volume all the way up and I can barely hear my friend speak unless I'm in a quiet room. That's why I'm giving it 4 stars out of 5. Other than that, it's a great app! 

At first I thought the app was simply not working. Everytime I'd reopen, it'd ask that I register over and over again. After about 10-15mn it finally worked and actually registered me on the server and it then worked flawlessly.Sometimes the contact list fails to appear or the call won't work because the server is busy but when it works it's fantastic! The video quality and framerate over 3G is almost just as good as the original Facetime app using Wifi. I barely could tell the difference. You can even switch from frontside to backside camera like in Facetime.So my one complaint would be the server side issues. I was so close to deleting the app when the registration wasn't working and I could only imagine how many people actually did. Upgrade the servers and this would be 5 stars for sure. This is hands-down the best facetime-like app over 3G currently available. Just be patient when you first download it... registering can be a pain.

It's a great useful app. Video calls from iphone4 to my friends Droid device works fine. Audio quality however seems to suffer a delay and quality. I can't say if it was my friends Droid phone, but I had bad video coming in from my friend but he said my iphone4 video was very clear. In hope that the developer add a few functions like video call in black&white, smaller screen resolution or split screen like up to 4 calls. Just a hint.

This app works great. I needed to restart my phone to get calls pushed properly, but after that it has been smooth sailing. I'll say the the design needs some help. The icon is so ugly that I almost don't want it to be on my phone! That is the only reason this app doesn't get 5 stars from me. Works like a paid app, designed like a free app. Either way... It has worked it's way onto my home screen and it gets plenty of use.

Video Chat between iPhone and Evo

I really like being able to video chat with my friends who have Evo's. Unfortunately it hasn't worked with everyone who has signed up. Once I got my text to verify I haven't had an issue, but a few of my friends still haven't gotten anything. I'm assuming it's because the app is new, but once that is fixed this will be amazing!!! The picture is very clear. I like that it tells me when the quality is low. Very happy with this app. :)

Needs more work and additions

I Know this app just came out but it will need a couple of updates and addictions to make a big success, like adding a desktop app where you can videocall friends on their computer too just like skype sort of. Come out with a hardware part that will really impact 3gs users like a front camera adapter, there's IR remotes why not a front camera for us. App free make the money on the hardware. The app takes too long to add friends to the list. Probably too many request to that server at the same time. Maybe can be fix.

I CAN'T believe it's true ! I just video called my brother on his iphone 4 while he was driving and then my friend who's on her droid with my iPhone 4. It is SO cool ! Yes, there are problems, especially audio, but with an update this has the potential to be the best app, yes even BETTER than doodle jump ! Please update and my 4 will go to a 5 and even if you made this app $10 I'd buy the full version. Thank you !
