Absolutely LOVE. Works great and my favorite thing is that you can stay logged on for 24 hours if you want. Not too long ago my charger for my phone broke so I used this instead, it was such a relief. You can of course do the same thing with the AIM app, the only thing that makes it better for me is being able stay on for so long therefore recieving MSGS when the app is not open. Wouldn't change much but it'd be nice (if possible) to have some kind of notification without having to open the app to see new MSGs! But reguardless amazing app!

It works fine. And it's free!!! Iwas thinking about buying txt free unlimited but didn't want to spend 6 bucks for SMS. I found this and it works fine. I would like to see the ability to use landscape board, but that's it really. Only downfall is I don't have all my friends info stored on old or by memory, and idont have my phone. Lol I highly recommend this. Besides what do you have to lose. It's free

I wish if u were on the home page and u got a message then it would pop up with a number of how many new text, like on the email thing that would be amazing. And it has to have a really good Internet connection. Could u make it use less Internet if possible. And landscape would be nice. I'd say it's the best texting app ever. And people who say they can't send message, it's like a regular phone u have to but the 3 number code first. :)

This app is great, very stable. Although, it is really just a stripped down version of AIM. I recomend makeing a new screen-name specificly for this app because it gets annoying when a bunch of people are sending you IMs in your texting app. Also remember to change the settings so that you stay logged in for 24 hours, otherwise you won't recieve texts when you close out. Oh, if your friends don't know how to respond to you when you text them, tell them to look at who the text was from. Sometimes it's your screen-name, sometimes it's a random assortment of numbers. Anyway, whatever it is just have them type that where you would normaly type the phone number. All in all it's a good app for texting, unless your a moron...

This is a great wifi texting program, but it still has a lot of room for improvements:
1) Mobile text reciever must first "accept" your text before being able to view it. I know this is a very considerate thing to do, but it is very annoying for a large number of people. It will be nice if this feature can be turned off or on.
2) Notifications: It would be awesome of the app icon can notify the user when a new text comes in by showing a red number on it (like the mail icon and a number of other icons that od that).
Those are the 2 biggest ones I would like to see changed! Great program, but it can be GRAND!

Works as it should.... no ads, free. No extra junk. 5 stars if:1) contacts showed up by name with picture, not just number, otherwise will easily get confusing if you text more than one person.2) could select incoming message sound. Always hated default aim sound :(3) mobile messages are sent to desktop aim as well as mobile device at the same time. Would be nice to make that optional. Sometimes that is useful, sometimes annoying.

I bought pingers text free application and was sorely disappointed for wasting six dollars. texttouch is so much better! amazing delivery, very prompt. the interface could be better, because it's very much like aim. an interface like textfree by pinger would be nice, and the first message that requires the user to accept is a bit annoying. overall however, the delivery of messages is prompt which is what matters. I'm sure the other problems will be fixed in updates. definitely does not deserve 2 stars that it currently has in the app store.

The APP IS GREAT! First of all I have an iPod Touch so without this(or some other software) I can't text at all. But with this I can save the texts that I have on my phone when I'm in a wifi zone. I can text all my friends regardless of service or phone. It appears that the text is coming from my AIM but it comes like a text to their phone! Then when they reply I get a "text" back but it comes right into my AIM chat on my iPod. You can also regular AIM chat. Which is excellent, 2 features in ONE FREE APP. I got this thinking that because it was free it would be terrible but it was not. One thing it needs though is a landscape feature. Please make a new version with a landscape mode so I can type faster.

Free, simple and easy to use. I have used various methods for SMS from my iPod Touch and none have delivered and received messages faster than this one. This app. does need the ability to run while I am using another app. or have email notification so I can get the audio notification of a new message while using the calculator, watching a movie or in my home screen. A 'number of new messages' indicator on the screen icon is also needed. Please GET RID OF the (YOU CAN REPLY TO THIS MESSAGE) signature at the end of the message. If I send a short message, this makes for to much text on the receiving end and is hard for the receiver to read quickly. Everyone complains about this.

Very usefull, I use it daily.

Oct. 5: As of 10:40 pm cst, it appears to be working. Phone contacts show up as online again, and a message has been transfered both ways. Oct. 4: Something seems to have gone wrong with the Aim server that handles phone numbers. It's non-working on any AIM program. Hope somebody reboots the servers or finishes the upgrade, and that's all it is. Oct. 2: A bug in the last version, Sometimes it keeps the last sent text in the compose field, making it appear unsent. If it is unstable internally, it just slows down some instead of crashing usually, though it would be better if it didn't have to do that at all. And to one of the other reviewers, it does have landscape view, did you try turning sideways or turning the setting on? Also if you have aliases set up for the numbers on your list (in other aim programs), the second time you run the app the display can change from numbers to nicknames.

Offline phones?

just recently I can't send texts to certain friends' phones... it says they are unable to receive offline IMs... but how can a phone be offline?! this needs to be fixed, I used this as my primary source for texting. other than that, I love this app it works great. and it runs even when you quit out of the app, unlike other apps. get it!

ive tried sevral texting apps and this is by far the greatest it has land scape its easy to use and best of all its free! p.s. with the new update you are alerted when you get a text outside of the app. a definite must have.

For all of you who rated one star because it didn't work here it is. You type in +1 before the number you wish to send the txt I think it is only for US and Canada numbers but I'm not sure. If you tried what I have just explained than I cannot help you.
