I really like the design and interface of this app, a lot better than twitterfon. I love the columns and how you can go back and forth between them easily. I also REALLY like how you can mark updates as seen so the number doesn't stay above the update tab that really annoys me and twitterfon doesn't have that option. The only thing I don't like about this app is when reading a tweet by someone for example @aplusk it doesn't let you touch the name and view their whole profile, there's only the option to see recent tweets. Other than that though, great app I really like it!!
This is what I've been wanting!
By: west43rd - Jun 17, 2009
I love Tweetdeck on the Mac. It does what I want, how I want it. And I've been dying to get easy swipes between columns and intuitive account management on the iPhone. Well, in one, fell swoop TD has stormed into the space with an amazing product that does all this and more.
Finally there is a full-featured, power-user tool for the platform that fully takes advantage of the iPhone's unique interface. Everything is completely intuitive. You want a column? You add it. You want that column to be from another account? It does it. You're in the column and want to tweet? It defaults the send to the account you are viewing. You need to rearrange columns? You hold down in the coverflow view and the pages are easily dragged into place. You want to swipe between views? You can do it from any screen.
Sure, this is a first version and I expect headaches to come. But I am so shocked at the level of polish this has already achieved that I think I will be very forgiving.
Worthy Competitor to Twittelator!
By: Simon Downey - Jun 17, 2009
I'm blown away by the fact that this app is free. Use the desktop version religiously and am very impressed.
It is missing some features I'd like to see. Such as many of the high-end features that Twittelator offers. Tweet confirmation(who hasn't needed that), saving tweets as a draft easily, etc.
In all I gave it 5 Stars because of it's intuitive UI, feature-set, the ability to sync w/the desktop client, and of course because it's free!
Request: this could be an api or legal issue, but the inclusion of a Facebook column like the desktop client would really make this an ultimate app.
Fantastic! Recommend App.

This is a great app I use it on my PC and now on my iPod. Many features that i requested are now avaliable in Tweetdeck. I recommend this Twitter app to everyone just great. The only feature I'd like is a sync between the PC version and the iPhone version so it can tell what tweets you have already seen. Even if it cost for that (Premium version) I'd buy it.If you were having a lot of bugs like me in the earlier version almost all of them have disappeared. It's great!

For those giving this bad reviews about it crashing please restart your iPhones ..i've used this for about one week and it is just amazing. This is definitely not for the amateur Twitter user..if you're wanting something simple go for tweetie ,but for the powerusers Tweetdeck is your best bet!
UPDATE: Version 1.1 of this app has been submitted to apple! So for those complaining about crashes and errors, expect some fundamental improvements:)
Exactly How I Use Twitter
By: Daniel Denk - Jun 22, 2009
TweetDeck for iPhone is a must for anyone who uses the desktop program as their prefered interface, and anyone who is new to Twitter may fully appreciate the elegance provided in its design and functionality. TweetDeck is a dramatic leap ahead of competing apps, and despite any nuances in relation to any occassional crash in this initial release, I'm confident it'll become a standard that'll remain a compelling one to match.
TweetDeck For iPhone

On your desktop and now on your iPhone. TweetDeck is a very powerful desktop application that showed you recent tweets from your friends, your @ replies and your direct messages in an easy to read user interface. TweetDeck for the iPhone does everything TweetDeck desktop could do without losing the lovely and easy to use user interface. TweetDeck supports multiple Twitter accounts so you no longer have to sign in and out of those other apps. Also, there is no more sending pictures to your special TwitPic e-mail address and waiting for it to appear on your Twitter feed. TweetDeck iPhone gives you the option to add a picture using either TwitPic or yFrog. It also lets you pick your photo from one of your galleries or take a new picture for upload. After uploading, the URL appears in your new Tweet and then you add your caption and post. You can also enter a URL and have it shrunk to a bit.ly address right in your new Tweet box. TweetDeck brings the best of the desktop application (which is most everything) and puts it on your iPhone. It truly is an ingenius iPhone app and a great addition to your app pages for any avid tweeter.
Favorite Twitter Client
By: StrawberiPankx - Aug 17, 2009
This is the only one that has groups. It's so awesome to be able to set up a column with just your bffs or just news or just bloggers or just coworkers. Instead of having to scroll through hundreds of tweets you can have them all neatly categorized and just read what you're in the mood for. I set up a column to just search me so I never miss mention even if it's from someone I'm not following. Plus you can sync with the tweetdeck desktop client. Super kewl and freeeee Official @SandraBerry endorsement

Excellent (and free) Twitter app. The best I have used in fact.
Only slight gripes would be:-
1) Not being able to pull up a list of your friends when writing a new tweet so you can easilly mention them
2) New tweets in your feed do not have links active (you have to click on the tweet to go to another screen to click on the links)
3) Would love to see push notification included.
These are only minor though and I'm sure they could be easily fixed in a future update.
Download this now!
Awesome UI, great job all around

You guys improved iPhone Twitter apps when I didn't think it could be done. I love that it's free. I've used the desktop version for awhile & loved the columns. I was very happy to see how you pulled that off on this app. I love that I can sync my desktop & iPhone columns.
After downloading I tried connecting 3 times before I restated my iPhone 3G. Then it worked great.
I think I could get used to using this app over tweetie.
Very nice job.
Ok app but...

Y do we HAVE TO put everything in2 columns?! Y can't we just view trends normally instead of HAVING to make it into a column!! HATE how it doesn't continue where u left off on a tweet. HATE how it DOESN'T SHOW all the tweets I've EVER SAVED as faves but rather those u've saved JUST RECENTLY! HATE how wenevr u're sending a tweet u can't send it to MULTIPLY ppl but u HAVE to send it only to one!! HATE how u can't just search regularly but u HAVE 2 do it from sum STUPID SERVER!!! FIX this ppl!!! TwittedFon doesn't have these problems. It's better!
The only one I use now
By: RAitch - 19-Sep-2009
This is a great app that's easy to use. The best part is how it can interface with your Desktop TweetDeck columns via a free TweetDeck account.
The ability to have separate groups of tweeters is a huge positive!
There are some missing options I'd like to see. For example, remembering the last view so you don't always have to scroll or zoom in. Another big issue is not being able to follow links/profiles once you've already drilled into a tweet.
Very easy to post and retweet. DM replies don't default to DM and I have accidently publicly replied.
For free, it's a no-brainer.
Great features using native iPhone functionality
By: Doctor of Music - Jun 17, 2009
I've just started using TweetDeck on my MacBook, although I've been using Twitter for some time (I even have multiple accounts). Over the months, I've used many iPhone Twitter clients, such as Twitterific (free and Premium--which I accidentally bought at $9.99), TwitterFon (free), Tweetie, Birdhouse (not really a client, but if you know what it does, you'll know why I bought it), and now TweetDeck.
Obviously, you can't beat the price of TweetDeck as an iPhone app...it's free. It offers much of the same functionality as the AIR version on the Mac OS...a layout that shows all your various screens (e.g. All Friends, Mentions, Direct Messages) from one or multiple accounts on one screen...and it works even better than the Mac OS with the swiping function from screen to screen (TweetDeck on the Mac isn't multi-touch enabled yet). When you click on a Tweet, unlike the Mac version which shows the profile with all the recent tweets from that user listed underneath, you simply get the profile and their most recent tweet, with the options to reply, send DM, or retweet. Links to tweets, such as images or websites, are brought up in a browser that works as well as any iPhone Twitter browser I've seen. The Update notifier works well, along with the "mark seen" option for each of the TweetDeck pages you have unseen tweets on. You can add pages as needed to TweetDeck for iPhone.
What's missing from TweetDeck on the Mac? You lack the ability to follow Facebook Status Updates and/or the ability to tweet to Facebook without a secondary Facebook plug-in, like TweetSync. And you lose the other TweetDeck pages like TweetScoop, 12 seconds, and StockTwits.
My favorite Twitter app for the iPhone remains Twittelator...it just does everything well, along with allowing for uploading not only pictures and websites, but also for uploading audio and video (ready for OS 3.0), not to mention its built-in Birdhouse feature. That said, I'm keeping TweetDeck on my iPhone as well, particularly with the hope that it will eventually add Facebook integration as well as some of Twittelator's other features as well. This is a great program for free, and if you use Twitter, I recommend it!
Punches Twitteriffic and Tweetie in the face!
By: Xtopher Robin - Nov 14, 2009
By far the best Twitter app for iPhone out there. I have been switching back and forth between Tweetie and Twitteriffic for the past couple of months, and this kicked them both off my device.
This would be a 5 Star review but for two wishes: landscape typing, and the loading of the oldest unread tweet so I don't have to scroll down to it. Add those features (even as options) and I'm locked in. :)
Wow... Just... Wow!
By: RomeApart - Jun 21, 2009
I really was dependent on Twitterrific, but along comes TweetDeck, and completely blows the UI scope out of the park!
This is highly functional, fast, and stunning to look at and work with!
My only request would be for a "trends" column and connectivity to facebook like your desktop client. Oh by the way, this (the iPhone app) sold M&E on downloading the client on both my work laptop and my home iMac.
This is my only Twitter client now. Very happy!
Fantastic Update - Must have!
By: ozt1ks - Nov 14, 2009
The newest update to TweetDeck is fantastic. I just downloaded it, and o already can't believe that I was ever without it. It takes the iPhone Twitter apps to another level. If you're wondering "when should I switch from<enter your Twitter app here> to TweetDeck?" The answer has never been more clear... Now!This app takes the cake for best free Twitter app on the iPhone by a long shot. It's missing 2 things, but since it's free I'm not surprised. Auto-switch landscape/portrait typing, and Push.5/5, fantastic update.
The best twitter app ever but where's push notification.
By: 10203040506070809000000000 - Aug 10, 2009
I absoluteley love this app. I think it is the best Twitter app on the iPhone. I have tried many other apps but this one is certaintly the best. I love the way it syncs with tweetdeck on your mac. Tweetdeck makes it simple to reply to a tweet and view a tinyurl or bit.ly inside the app. The beat part is it's free. But where is the push notification. I really wish that the app would notify you if you got a dm or just a new tweet.
You have converted me. But you made me waste a few bucks also!
By: drewgunn - Jun 17, 2009
Have to say the app twitters have been WAAIITTing for. And its free to boot. A couple of bugs I have come across are when the app crashes it removes all updates. Not good because this app syncs in the cloud and it affects my desktop version when I refresh. Second is that not all time when you view a tweet does it mark read. Had to mark the whole column to get two tweets to show as read. But hands down has made me wish I had not paid for those premium twitter apps earlier. Thanks TweetDeck.
Pros. Great UI. Cloud sync with the desktop has to be the best feature in my opinion. Not having to resync a separate client is hands down what people are wanting. Unique sync times for each column a plus. Some are more important and need the quick sync for quick replies or early news. If you are the type of person who uses tags for everything the columns fit into your category.
Cons. Few bugs. Even as I was typing got another stating "There was a problem with this sync attempt. Please try again later." When trying to sync the columns. Next was the tweets not being marked read when you view them. And last are when the app crashed twice on me, once before any additional columns were added and the second I had ten columns. Though they only recommend 6 to 8. All of my updates where no longer available. Though still in the columns just all marked as read. Speed is great even with more than 8 columns. I have got 0 lag other than the two crashes.
Again thanks guys for the app we have been waiting for. Can’t wait for future updates and seeing what you guys have in store in future releases.

TweetDeck for the iPhone is one of the most intuitive Twitter clients, I have tried. The interface is FAST and refreshing and elegantly implemented. It also syncs back to your desktop AdobeAir app. on your desktop via a TweetDeck. This is a first class Twitter Client - a MUST have in your iPhone. I give it 5 stars. I do hope they soon add a FaceBook feature to TweetDeck then I only need to visit one app. :) Great job!

I've used the desktop version of tweetdeck off and on for quite a while but was never sold on it for various reasons. Now with this iPhone version as well as the new desktop version these guys have far outdone themselves. The UI and power is far superior to the competition and I definitely will not be switching anytime soon. Now I really love checking my tweets and tweeting from my phone. The multi columns are pure drool material :)
