Reviews:
Simply the best By: iReviewer4U - Oct 10, 2009 Version: 3.3 I have used both Twittelator Pro and Tweetie 2 and I will tell you that Twittelator Pro is a FAR superior app. There is no comparison! (I am a regular user with no ties or affiliation to either developer). Twittelator lets you customize your own theme, and even tweet your theme and share it with the world! So, you actually have unlimited choices for themes! Twittelator has over 150 features, so too many to list here. Tweetie 2 gives you absolutely no theme support (Tweetie 1 did, with bubbles, light, and dark themes) however nothing in the new version of Tweetie. Tweetie 2 is WAY over-hyped. I don't know why Twittelator hasn't received the same publicity, but it is BY FAR the best Twitter app in the app store.
Cant get any better By: XMushroom - Jun 12, 2009 Version: 2.3 Ive tried several other twitter apps, this one leaps them all. Tweetie, TwitterFon, Twitterific (free versions) do not stack up, for multiple reasons. The friend feed list is designed very well. The layout is attractive, you can change font even to make it larger if need be. You can easily one click links in tweets. To see your friends, and to see their friends is not only possible (other clients it is not) but easy to do. Overall, I dont see another twitter client necessary. Great APP!!
Simply does everything By: JBinPDX - Jun 11, 2009 Version: 2.3 and does everything simply. I've tried all of the iPhone Twitter apps, and this is, by far, the best. With the new release adding blocking, everything I need is right here. The help available inside the app explains everything that I might need to know. And I haven't even begun to scratch the surface of all of the features that are available. I especially like the configurable tool bar. P.S. love the egg icon!
Power & Elegance: Best Twitter Client! By: spinbaba - Jun 11, 2009 Version: 2.3 Updated for v2.3 ... I have used and examined the c|net Top 10 Twitter Applications available for my old 1st generation iPhone. Developer Andrew Stone's (stone.com) incredible Twittelator Pro (TPro) delivered everything I was looking for in an iPhone Twitter client, and so much more.
TPro's latest version is both an evolutionary and revolutionary Survivor of the Fittest. TPro is as simple or as advanced as you could possibly desire. It does a perfect job out-of-the-box, and looks superb to boot! With hundreds of configurable options and settings, tweaks, toggles, power-user tools such as uploading an image associated with your tweet to any one of 7 free image hosts (direct/private image support on several of these), multimedia tweets with audio only - or video for 3G[S] users - and shortening the length of URLs using a multitude of choice services to help maximise the number of words you type within Twitter's 140 character ceiling. You may also spread your message out over two instant tweets or replies if you do go over-limit by TPro's automagic use of an internal character buffer and TPro's ceiling of 240 characters!
Configure colour themes, tweet straight from Safari!, paste & shorten urls, empty the image cache to free resources, drill down through your friends and followers (and their friends and followers) using breadcrumbs navigation, and utilise TPro's tight GPS integration and features. Make frequent use of powerful search features, copy & paste others' tweets and links (available to all generations of iPhone, even running pre-3.0 software!), and much more. All of this is created by a man and company that has been programming top-shelf software for Apple platforms for over 20 years.
You cannot go wrong buying this application. I truly hope this review helps you decide! I don't work for, or even know Andrew Stone. This review is written purely for your benefit, because Twittelator Pro is - HANDS DOWN - the best Twitter client application that exists! I am @drspin on Twitter! Enjoy!
Hands-down best Twitter app on iPhone. By: Seven912 - Jun 11, 2009 Version: 2.3 I really think this app is misunderstood. People always rant & rave about the other apps out there but I rarely hear Twittelator Pro mentioned. This is the most feature-packed, well-supported Twitter app on the iPhone. Yes, there are so many features that it may take a bit longer to get the hang of but trust me that a little time spent goes a LONG way. Don't believe me, download the free version and read the help file. I used to use Twittelator for tweets & a different app for follower-management but the developer quickly resolved this by making all of these things work with ease in this app. It has really been cool to see this app grow over just the last few versions. I follow the developer on Twitter and you can tell he loves what he is doing with this app..& that matters. You can keep using free or $2 apps for your Twitter fun or you can unleash so much more with Twitter using this app. I can't praise this app highly enough.
The best Twitter app for iPhone. Period. By: Dannyrodri - Sep 29, 2009 Version: 3.3 Twitterlator Pro has to be the best ever Twitter client I have tried, and I've tried a lot if them. It has more features than any other apps, and they just added costumization which is awesome!
My favorite things about this app has to be preview of photos in the timeline, being able to save infinite drafts for when I have no connection and want to save a tweet, ability to add links to instapaper, twitlonger support, and I could go on and on and on.
Simply to use, lots of tweaks that make it's use amazing!
Can be a little tough to find the tweaks but when you realize you have them or read the help file on his site you get wowed that you have this features.
Don't hesitate it too much. Buy this app, you won't regret it.
And oh yeah, you get constant updates that make the app better and better and better. That's what every app should do (I'm looking at you un-updated sucky Tweetie app)
Hope you enjoy this :) as much as I do.
This thing ROCKS! By: Sam Blankenship - Jun 6, 2009 Version: 2.2.1 I'll keep it short and sweet. Twittelator is the most full featured twitter app that I've found! Definitely my favorite part is being able to create subgroups so that I can filter through all of the tweets during the day until I get back at my desk and wish to read all of the others. I had experienced a little lag and a lock up here and there when I first started using it and I almost gave up. Instead, I clicked the "Twittelator Pro Support" button and sent a note off to the Twittelator folks. Much to my surprise, I immediately heard back from Andrew Stone directly with some suggestions on setting changes that I could tweak for optimal performance! Now, Twittelator is flying along at warp speed and I'm loving it!
Great product and SERVICE By: jaqbqwk - Sep 27, 2009 Version: 3.3 This has got to be the BEST Twitter app out there. Have tried many, and was using this one and Twitterific for awhile as both had features that I liked. I wished that they could be merged into 1! I will say Twitterific was more intuative to use at first, (I am a new Tweep) but as I got a few basic commands down, Twittelator Pro is just as user friendly... After the latest update, this blows ANY Twitter app away! The developer is a tweeter (go figure) and provides support and tips right on Twitter. Just fixed a minor issue with the badge this am by looking him up on Twitter this am! A few basic commands that will get you started... - Tap on the avitar to view their profile, or to view the @mention profile (once in profile you can see tweets to that person) - Tap on the user name to view reply options - If your badge is displaying tweets and you don't have any, go to settings, image options, and select clear image cache (my issue this am) - To customize your toolbar, click on settings, and edit up at the top In the More area, you have limiteless options and searches you can perform, even search for customized themes created by other users! I LOVE this feature!!! The developer even has functions (auto retweet and geo tagging) in the new update that Twitter has not turned on yet (coming in Oct). I also forgot to mention that this app has cool/fun wingdings to use in your tweets, built right in! I don't give out 5 stars very often (nor take the time to write this long of a review), but this app was worth EVERY penny and then some! Buy it, you won't be disappointed! Since their are so may options, it can seem a little overwhelming at first, but don't worry, if I can figure it out, you can too! And if anything, just tweet Andrew, he's great at reading and keeping up. My only wish list item so far is a fully customizable background (insert your own photo) but I am confident that Andrew will figure it out within the next few updates. Okay I just thought of one more, would love to fit at least 1 more icon alng the toolbar. That may not be a possbility, and I can certainly live without it, but it is a wishlist after all. Thanks Andrew Stone! A rockin product for sure!
Should have bought this first! By: theblusteryday - May 13, 2009 Version: 2.2 Tried free apps, then the new Twitterific, next the new Tweetie. Should have saved all my money and just got this one from the get go! Love all the features. Other apps had some but not all. Sure more complex, but easy to learn. Looking forward to fine tunings and maybe a snazzier UI I'm the future but the dark theme is sharp. Maybe a new icon? Don't mind the egg but it's too small and the background too dark. Overall - great !
Best Twitter Application By: Abi H - May 9, 2009 Version: 2.2 Features, features, features!!
Product description is perfect, I prefer to use it than going online.
I was looking at the others reviews, and the majority of problems can be solved by reading the instructions in the settings area. If you don't know where it is than there is a bigger issue, and it's not the software writers problem.
And the best part is being able to see your friends timeline as well as the "everyone" timeline, sweet!!
I love this app!!

The best gets better By: PoPo171 - Sep 25, 2009 Version: 3.3 If innovation, top-shelf features, and a very responsive developer is what you are looking for in an iPhone Twitter app, then look no further than Twittelator Pro. Just when I think the app can't get any better, Andrew Stone drops a new release and blows me away! He is always up to answering questions, and is constantly searching for ways to make his already peerless app even better. Twittelator Pro has separated itself - by miles - from the competition, which is a stellar accomplishment considering how many players there are in the iPhone Twitter app marketplace. Well done!
Very good all around full twitter client By: Saúl BHP - Sep 25, 2009 Version: 3.2 This app has been the most useful twitter app I have ever used. It let's you perform all the functions that would like to from the web site twitter.com. Also. You get themes and the ability to post photos as well. I have used twitterific and was "okay" with it, then I tried twittetlator Pro and was sold! I only wish that add vibrate notification when you refresh or post your tweet. Worth the money.
Wonderful By: nluckett - Sep 25, 2009 Version: 3.2 The best twitter app out there. More features than any other client.
The sheer number of options and smart choices made with this program (bookmarklet, instapaper integration, picture thumbnails, saving drafts, awesome full Safari browser integration, emailing within client, etc) make it worth the money. Also make it hard to overlook it's few minor problems.
I would like to see the scrolling improved though. Scrolling right now feels sticky/jerky. It would also be nice if it autoscrolled to the last message I read when loading and somehow (color difference) showed me read vs unread (check out Twitterfon to see a good example of this).
Also, it just feels a little sluggish compared to Twitterfon or Tweetdeck. This is my biggest gripe. I can overlook some of the programs idiosyncrasies and sometimes lackluster design if it were faster.
Overall, the best Twitter app out there, but could still use a few tweaks.
The best twitter app. Now even BETTER! By: Jojobr - May 6, 2009 Version: 2.1 I've always been a fan of Twittelator Pro, but this new update has made me wonder if it was possible to even find a flaw. Even when I thought this app couldn't get any better, Andrew Stone releases an update that addresses not only bugs, but also adds features that his users are asking for...yes people, he actually listens to what his users want, unlike some developers, who shall remain unnamed, which refuse to incorporate simple features, such as groups.
Favorite Twitter App By: CoS App - Sep 25, 2009 Version: 3.2 When it comes to features, this is by far, the best twitter app out there. Yes tweetie looks nice, but click through each post on a reply chain? No thanks! What Twittelator misses is only in the graphics dept. Not a fan of the icon nor the look of the feed UI. Tweetie is better for that. But twittelator has it in the features (which really is what matters most!) One click gets you what you want. And now with the ability of saving drafts, I'm sold, again!
Absolutely Perfect By: Atmenterprises - Sep 24, 2009 Version: 3.2 Update: Followed Twitterific Pro on Twitter & workaround to issue given & fix already submitted to App Store. Changed rating to 5 stars for excellence!
Been using this app for months and like it better than Tweetdeck because it remembers the last unread tweet position. However, over the last couple of days it has stopped showing the # of unread tweets and no longer remembers the last unread tweet position. What used to be a five-star app is now a three.
Like having TwitterFone and Tweetie combined By: jrue - Sep 23, 2009 Version: 3.2 I jump between TwitterFon and Tweetie all the time. I like each for a specific purpose. I love Tweetie's UI – beautiful, and intuitive – but it doesn't allow you to see badges of how many tweets have occurred since you've last checked it. TwitterFon's UI is so-so, but it keeps track of where you last checked your feed. The new version of Twittelator blows both of them out of the water. I used to think Twittelator was an overly feature packed misery, but the improvements are phenomenal. This is by far my most favorite Twitter client. Beautiful and functional. Perfect.
Simply the best, and 2.1 adds another mountain of features! By: dalaixerces - Apr 10, 2009 Version: 2.1 Anything by Stone Design ("Big Stone Phone") is going to apply all kinds of foot to posterior -- and the latest version of Twittelator is no exception. Andrew Stone does amazing work -- he's the best, it's that simple. There's a reason why he's been here since the early days of NeXT (Apple was assimilated by NeXT, not the other way around -- no two ways about it!) and why he's still on top. He's an old friend but I have no bias in this regard; I have plenty of other developer friends whose talents I respect, but nobody I mean *nobody* can create software as powerful or feature-dense as Stone.
Best iPhone Twitter app, hands-down. By: ProcessFive - Mar 25, 2009 Version: 2.0 (updated for v 2.0) I had been a devout user of Twittelator (lite) ever since I got my iPhone, and to be perfectly honest, I didn't think that there was any way to make it better. Then I got my hands on Twittelator Pro. The enhancements are astounding. Photos stored at TwitPic can be viewed as thumbnails within the relevant tweet. Individual tweets can be copied or retweeted. Replies can be threaded. The app can scroll to your last read tweet on startup. The list goes on. Twittelator lite is a great, stable little app, and since it's free, it's fantastic if you're not sure if Twitter is something you are going to commit to. If you've already decided to become a long-term Twitterer, Twittelator Pro is the only way to go. Version 2.0 raises the bar in countless ways, but perhaps the best feature is that you can now select from several different URL-shortening and photo services. 2.0 also includes a bookmarklet allowing you to send links from Safari straight to Twittelator Pro. Fantastic!
Tons of features, fantastic 2.0 update By: Optimus Prune - Mar 25, 2009 Version: 2.0 I've tried all the main Twitter apps (Twitterific, Twitterfon, Tweetie, Twinkle, Hahlo), and Twittelator Pro is the one that has all the features one is looking for from a premium Twitter app. Multiple accounts, easy re-tweeting, multiple themes, custom & nearby searches, tweet pics, even a way to tweet straight from Safari into Twittelator Pro. The new 2.0 release has added stability, speed, instapaper support, and user interface improvements, including tweet counts in the menu bar icons where appropriate. Pro is clearly strides ahead of the pack at the moment.
