Nearly perfect!  rating of Twitterrific Premium
By: PoPo171 - Aug 25, 2009
Version: 2.1
The 2.1 update is incredible! I have always considered this program's UI to be peerless, but it's lack of standard features drove me to other clients. No longer. The feel and function of Twitterrific Premium is outstanding, and it no longer sits in the shadow of the likes of Twittelator Pro and Tweetie. I couldn't care less about no lansdcape, but would like to see a user's tweet count and join date when looking at their profile, as well as what client they use without having to enlarge font to the largest available. Those minor things are the only "complaints" I can come up with. I still rate it 5 stars - I'm impressed!

Now the PERFECT Twitter reader!  rating of Twitterrific Premium
By: MikePfunn - Aug 24, 2009
Version: 2.1
With the latest update, Twitterrific Premium has become, by far, the BEST app available for Twitter fans. Before, I kept two Twitter apps on my iPod: Twitterrific and Tweetie. I prefer the reading experience of Twitterrific (always have), but it lacked some of the follower-administration tools of Tweetie and other apps. But with the latest build, Twitterrific now has everything I need in a Twitter app, and I've deleted Tweetie from my iPod. Unlike other apps I've tried, Twitterrific loads the most recent tweets in chronological order, very important in reading discussions or if someone posts a thought over several tweets. I'm very pleased, and wish I could give this new version more than five stars.

Regarding Push Notifications  rating of Twitterrific Premium
By: rgwebb - Aug 23, 2009
Version: 2.1
People need to realize that the technical architecture required to support push notification isn't simply adding some code to the app. Beyond the code for PNS, the developer must setup a server - likely many servers - that handles retrieving new tweets, mentions, or DMs. This server then has to be provisioned to have direct and continuous with Apple's own Push Notification Server cloud. Considering the large number of users of apps like Tweetie or Twitterrific, it would require a significant amount of capital from these small development firms to setup a server farm necessary to effectively run a service of this size. Notice how most twitter apps with PNS support are significantly behind the ball in actual UI execution. They've spent the money to build the technical architecture to support a feature of great want by the public, but they aren't half the UI geniuses of the fine people from atebits and Iconfactory. I'm not saying you won't see Tweetie or Twitterrific w/ PNS support, but don't bet on it soon...it's an expensive feature to execute. Now to an actual review: The version 2.1 finally matches the feature completeness of their chief rivals. The built in URL shortening feature is a great idea that others haven't added yet (Tweetie). I like that the app saves user searches. Overall, this is arguably the top cat now. Perhaps it is time to add video and landscape support?

Version 2.1 Surpasses Tweetie  rating of Twitterrific Premium
By: MacGeek Pro - Aug 22, 2009
Version: 2.1
I was happy to switch back to Twitterrific from Tweetie when 2.0 came out, but I did miss a couple of things. The ability to view following/followers, look up a specific Twitter name, view large avatar images, and the image viewer for sites such as TwitPic and yfrog. I missed those from Tweetie, but not enough to give up on Twitterrific 2.
Version 2.1 brings all of that to the table. Combine that with the unified timeline with filter support for viewing mentions and directs, and you have the absolute best iPhone Twitter client out there. Props to the Iconfactory for their hard work.

THE definitive Twitter app  rating of Twitterrific Premium
By: Dpringle - Aug 21, 2009
Version: 2.1
The 2.1 update made this my favorite Twitter app. I can choose Twitter names from a list on the fly while tweeting... I can block, follow, and unfollow... I can tweet and read from multiple accounts... All in the nicest user interface out there. I deleted all of my other Twitter apps after this update because it has all the features I want. I love the straight forward interface and the ability to customize 'taps' for different functions. I use the 'conversation view' relentlessly. If you tweet as much as I do then this is the app you want. It has made my Twitter experience more fulfilling and easier to manage! Great job iconfactory!

Push Please  rating of Twitterrific Premium
By: shanfilmz - Aug 21, 2009
Version: 2.1
This is the best Twitter app for iPhone. With the new 2.1 update it has replaced all my old iPhone twitter clients (I used to use several at once). All I want is one thing..... PUSH NOTICACATIONS PLEASE! If you added push, I would be the happiest buyer in the world. With push, no other app would be able to compete with Twitteriffic. And not just push for replys and messages, I would need it for the reg timeline also. I really hope push notifacations will come in the next update. I beg you, kind developer, make your amazing app greater with push notifacations.

Nearly perfect  rating of Twitterrific Premium
By: djjenkins - Aug 21, 2009
Version: 2.1
The latest 2.1 update now adds almost every feature I could ever imagine. It is way faster/smoother, adds double-click to reply/repost, inline picture viewing, and so much more. I don't have a 3GS to test the video, but hear it is great. I LOVE being able to see all my followers/those I follow, as well as everyone else. Simply great. The only thing missing now is push notifications, but I am using Boxcar for that so don't even feel like I am missing much. Great job Iconfactory!

Twinkle and Twittelator Pro  rating of Twitterrific Premium
By: pajamasceoiii - Dec 20, 2008
Version: 2.0
I have all the major Twitter clients on my phone and this is definitely one of the best. The Iconfactory always produces well polished apps. I purchased this to support the devs, but I tend to use the free version with ads. I do wish that it was updated more often though. An easier way to view @replies and trending topics would be great. UPDATE: This is still a great Twitter client with a gorgeous interface, but it is seldom updated and is being passed up by the competition. Come on Craig and company. Add some features.

Great App, Iconfactory has done well!  rating of Twitterrific Premium
By: JeradHill - Dec 5, 2008
Version: 2.0
I have been a longtime user of Twitterrific on the Mac which is a great app. The Iconfactory has not been asleep at the wheel. It shows in their iPhone app that they have been paying attention to every detail. I highly recommend purchasing the app. I did not even bother downloading the free version although I am sure it is good. The Iconfactory deserves your $10 for all of the power this app provides for your Twitter experience.

Premium Worth It For Theme Alone!  rating of Twitterrific Premium
By: X9 Box - Aug 20, 2009
Version: 2.1
Twitterrific is the easiest Twitter client to use for keeping up with a lot of fellow Twitter users. It loads the most responses and does the best job in remembering where you left off. And the Premium version not only removes the ads, which I barely ever saw, but it gives me the far superior White theme. I find it easier to read, and even more stylish than the slick black look of the free version. I'd love for it to have more features (like separate replies listing mostly) that the other clients have, but only if it doesn't sacrifice it's great usability and look that I'm accustomed to.

Wonderful refinements to my favorite Twitter client  rating of Twitterrific Premium
By: onegoodpenguin - Aug 20, 2009
Version: 2.1
I've stuck by Twitterrific Premium, even when it lagged a bit behind the others in features, because of it's great UI and style. The new contact roll and video support on the 3G S are nice improvements. Selecting of tweets is now consistent again (3.0 seemed to break the selection view) which is pleasant. My only current feature request is that submissions to 3rd party image and video hosting would use the full API doc to include the text that accompanies the media. It would be more useful to look through my Posterous blog and have a context for what I've uploaded. Other clients have supported this for months and it's one of the missing features that still keep my peers from seeing Twitterrific as the most complete client.

Love it!  rating of Twitterrific Premium
By: MikeInBoston - Aug 17, 2008
Version: 1.0
This is one of my favorite applications on my iPhone. It does everything I need Twitter to do for me. It makes tweeting easy and reading my friends' timelines a breeze.
I only have two minor complaints. First, when I upgraded from free to premium, I had to start all over again like it was a new app instead of an upgrade. That's pretty minor. Second, I wish it would allow me the option to put my location in the tweet instead of just updating my profile. When you are in multiple locations each day, this would be very useful.
Other than some really minor annoyances, this is, by far, the best Twitter application I've found yet and well worth the money for the premium version.

Grade A Upgrade  rating of Twitterrific Premium
By: GTMsBOSS - Aug 20, 2009
Version: 2.1
The 2.1 Twitterrific upgrade is byfar the best upgrade my iPhone has had thus far. I actually use Twitter more than any feature on my iPhone including the phone, text, myspace has died out, aim is dying... Lol etc. Twitterrific is a wonderful and well put together app. I love it. I've made every iPhone user I know buy this app. I even use the app for my MacBook. Thanks an keep up the great work Boss Man

Best of Breed  rating of Twitterrific Premium
By: vandy - Aug 20, 2009
Version: 2.1
I bought Twitterrific when it was $9.99 because of the interface and simplicity. Since then, the application has been making a steady march towards feature rich usability, without the clutter. 2.0 was a completely different application with great features like multiple accounts, but lacked a few of the nicer features that other Twitter applications included (inline Twitpic viewing). With 2.1, nearly every missing feature or qualm I had about Twitterrific has been addressed. I've moved between Twitterrific, Tweetie, Birdhouse, Twitterfon, and several others in the past 6 months. At this point, I am full-time Twitterrific.

Best example of what an iPhone app can and should be  rating of Twitterrific Premium
By: Phillip Bowden - Jul 13, 2008
Version: 1.0
The Iconfactory really outdid itself with Twitterrific. Ever since I installed it, I've found myself Twittering from my iPhone instead of the Mac client despite being within reach of a real keyboard. It is just that good. The interface is beautiful, intuitive and manages to pack in an enormous amount of features. The ability to view a link in the mini-browser, close it, then be taken right back to the tweet you were viewing is seamless and a brilliant piece of design. No longer will I be plagued with boredom in a long grocery line.

[REDACTED] Review  rating of Twitterrific Premium
By: AcaBen - Jul 10, 2008
Version: 1.0
The Iconfactory has a hit here. If you use Twitter, you need the Premium version of this app, hands down. The UI looks better than just about any other app out there, and built-in hints and tips make its complex functionality seem simple and intuitive, even the first time you use it.
Scrolling can lag a bit, but other than that, it's a first rate application, and a must-have for all Twitterers.

Amazing!  rating of Twitterrific Premium
By: Leviss - Aug 19, 2009
Version: 2.1
Finally has all the features of twiterlator (minus drafts, but I have birdhouse for that!) but much nicer visually, the time and effort put forward to make this as simple and straightforward as possible but maintaining all the best features really make this worth the wait and more importantly the money. To be honest this app puts most of the desktop API to shame! Good job guys it's pretty much perfect! Here is to hoping you make it on the next commercial!

Tweetie's most capable competitor  rating of Twitterrific Premium
By: Carlos259 - Aug 14, 2009
Version: 2.0.2
Twitterrific v 1.0 was the app that pushed me to actually use Twitter - through its simple design and clean interface, it was a great app that anybody could get used to in less than 5 minutes. However, with the explosion of Twitter (and the new range of functions, such as ReTweets, becoming more popular) Twitterrific 1.0 started feeling a bit outdated - especially when compared to more functional clients like Tweetie and Twitterfon. However, version 2.0 of this fantastic IconFactory app completely changed that.
The app's main screen is the "Sources" screen, which shows all the accounts configured with the app, as well as a public timeline. There is also a search option; searches can be saved for later viewing, and are very customizable - you can include location, tweeted by and tweeted to in addition to keywords. Lastly, the source screen also includes all trending topics from Twitter.com .
Timelines load extremely fast in Twitterrific - especially on the iPhone 3GS. However, I can surely say that Tweetie is still the undisputed speed champing. Tweets are viewable in small/medium/large size, and the time-stamp on each tweet indicates whether it is new (orange) or old (grey) as well as how long ago it was posted. When selecting a tweet you can ReTweet, reply, copy and/or bookmark links, favorite, email, view the tweet's thread (if available) and my favorite, mark, which marks a tweet on Twitterrific, allowing for later viewing. (for those tweets that are interesting, yet not quite a favorite) Tweets are also filterable by your own tweets, dm's, @replies, favorites, and marked.
Twitterrific now has three themes to chose from - all beautifully designed to keep things as simple as possible without looking unpolished or boring. When composing your own tweets, you can have the app shorten any URL's, upload a picture, add your location, or even shorten your text for those tweets that come out longer than 140 characters. "Peek" view allows you to browse your timeline while composing your next tweet: tapping on a user will mention that user on the tweet, while tapping on a URL will copy/paste that URL into your tweet.
The app's greatest strength, for me, lies in the tapping shortcuts, which are configurable from its settings screen. Different actions can be set for tapping on a user's avatar, single-tapping a tweet, double-tapping, and triple-tapping. For instance, tapping a User's avatar may take you to his twitter user page (as formatted by the app), or triple-tapping a tweet might mark it as a favorite - it's up to you.
I went from Twitterrific 1.0 to Tweetie, and back again to Twitterrific 2.0 Premium after trying the free version and falling in love with it. I strongly recommend the free version Twitterrific to anyone - and if you like it as much as I did, show your support to the Iconfactory by purchasing the Premium version and getting rid of those ads :)

Latest Update Builds on a Strong and Essential App  rating of Twitterrific Premium
By: Chris Campbell - 20-Aug-2009
Version: 2.1
I love Twitterrific and didn't hesitate at all to upgrade to the premium version. It's simple and powerful, but it doesn't get in your way. You get to your tweets quickly and you also can update with ease. Twitterrific 2.1 adds some very powerful features such as allowing you to look at who you are following and who is following you and also gives you tools to copy and view URLs as well as looking at pictures and saving them.
It's the way that I love to read and write tweets throughout my day. The latest update continues to build on a powerful application.

Best Twitter app so far...  rating of Twitterrific Premium
By: Abcdefgz - 2-Jul-2009
Version: 2.0.2
Okay so after trying out almost every Twitter application out there, I can definately say that Twitteriffic is by far the best Twitter application for your iPhone. It has everything you need, a nice interface and easy to use. I would have given 5 stars however it still does not offer an option to view your followers/ who you are following. If these two options are ever updated, with the addition of video uploads also, well then IMO Twitteriffic will be the #1 application for iPhone.
