I'm not an avid cricket fan. I listen to Test Match Special when I can; enjoy watching a village game with a pint in my hand, and occasionally follow the test scores. That's about it.
But this beautifully executed app really adds a new dimension for the casual cricket follower, as well as the fully-paid-up Barmy Army footsoldier.
My iPhone lives in a dock on my desk at work, and the 'scoreboard' actually drew a crowd during the Lords test. In addition to that though you get drawn into digging deeper - looking a little further than the Ashes, checking the county scores, seeing how other nations are doing, watching a bit of video.
Really excellent. And free too.

A facility to disable the screensaver when you have your phone docked would be appreciated, but apart from that it's a very slickly produced app, great quality and absolutely free! Download it and follow county games, tests, one dayers and the 20-20 world cup. Love the animation on the scoreboard as well. (Tip: some reviews say you can't see the full scorecard. Not true - just turn your screen sideways and it's displayed).

So many cricket apps are overly complicated, are full of irrelevant info, or just don't work properly. But this is perfect - looks like those old fashioned mechanical scoreboards you used to see on grounds everywhere. It's simple, easy to read at a glance, updates automatically, more details available if you want them by turning the phone. If you need cricket updates on the move, there's nothing better.
And free! Get it.

It's a free App that does more than it says on the tin. At first I thought that's a nice easy way to track the Ashes when I'm at work and so on, but to my pleasant surprise, it loaded up and had the evening's county scores too. Just in time to see Essex finish off Surrey in their Twenty20 match. A good win and a great, FREE app. Thanks to the ECB (assuming they funded it) and the OTHER media for this great little App.

Easily the best app there is for keeping up-to-date with Cricket scores when out and about. The recent updates have improved on an already excellent product. The corrections in the layout of the scorecards are almost there. Just need to switch the wicket/runs on the bowling figures. It also seems to have corrected an annoying little bug that often had the score board reverting back to an earlier score after a few seconds. (Least wise it's not done it recently) Good work ECB. Plus: it's incredible value for money.

I have been downloading apps for the past 6 months and have yet to review one, so it must be special. I've got to say that the service provided by this app is second to none, so what if your not english, why would you get it anyway. Brilliant for following my fave county and great in the library when revising as it is not distracting by requireing constant button pressing in order to update the score. it just silently ticks over without having to alert me. Unrivaled capability to display in detail both the bowling and batting figures for each innings. Will be abseloutly incredible for the ashes... Whether on a bus, at the office or having a meal, this an all-imporant app for any fan of English cricket during an all-important summer.

This app is on my front page cos it is very very good I would give it 5 star if it had type of match ie twenty20 odi pro40 etc and If it had league tables for county cricket such as t20 pro40 lvcc etc and also international eg twenty20 world cup Also maybe in international series there should be a section that you touch and it comes up with the score in the series and all of the scorecards from the series in that section if these get put on in an update I would give 5 star But definately worth downloading to all cricket fans

I can't believe this is free! It is informative and easy to use. I love the news function and the batting/bowling statistics pages.

Slick and it is nice to have local league cricket reports. Easy access to results and scoreboards. Great that the main irritations have now been fixed. 5* now :) Even better if it now included economy rates for bowlers and the fall of wicket information.

Gud stuff, up to the minute coverage, don't pay for any of the others, this will show u all u need to know! I just leave it on as I work and the score ticks by automatically. Perfect for the ashes series!

This is a fantastic app for following the cricket and the fact that it is free is a massive bonus. I have one small request though: it would be nice if there was an option to stop the phone turning off when the app is running (I.e. disable auto-lock) so that I can have it in its dock on my desk and keep an eye on the scores without the screen turning off all the time.

The update corrected issues with oversensitivity when looking at scorecard which was the only problem I had with the first version. Updates are as quick as cricinfo so no complaint at all especially for a free app!

Great top screen summarizing the scores in all the international matches going on that day. Other tabs give access to all possible news, photos, video clips and podacsts on cricket you would wish for. Only think missing is access to the full scorecards. So may still need cricinfo site to follow the action ball by ball when important Tests are on.
