By far my favorite of the free sports scores apps that I've used. Very pleasing and intuitive interface. Also, integration with your ESPN account is very slick, and to top it all off, I submitted a suggestion to add NCAA baseball scores, and within a day I received a personal email back saying that NCAA baseball scores were just added. The only downside is that it still seems to be a little slow in responsiveness, but I have full confidence that it will improve with future versions and for the most part its not even an issue.

This application is my favorite app ever. Get the scores to any game that is going on or ended, and see all upcoming games for all teams. I use it everday because unfortunately I don't have time to watch every game. And it does give you all of the stats, game times, and live scoring updates (works during games). This app is so easy a caveman could use it. If you call yourself a sports fan you will love this app. Greatest app on itunes hands down

After doing many side by side comparisons against other top sports apps, espn even in this early stage is far more superior. From the way everything is presented, to unbelievable stat tracking (especially in baseball), this app has even more potential to get even better. For those of you who complained about standings, try looking at the bottom of a given box score, there you will see a multitude of options including current standings. Sure you have to run a box score to see it, but it isn't that much of a hassle as some people make it seem. This app is great yet I can still see room for improvement; things like alerts( I know it's coming), the ability to watch highlights across all sports, and quicker access to favs (as in all on one page). Great app. Trust me you will love, they aren't the worldwide leader in sports for nothing.

I can't believe this app is free! It should be $2 or more! It gives day by day scores, for all sports, all leagues, and all teams! plus it's completely customizable so you choose what leagues you want it to follow! My favorite feature is your able to choose your favorite team for every league and it's scores are always on top! It's easy to control too. The only way to make it better is to add standings-if this app had that it would be worth $3!

NOTE: the screens went black with the upgrade to iPhone 3.1. I deleted the app from computer and phone, redownloaded to phone and, voíla, the screens are restored, and I did not lose favorites. Of course, I'm not obsessed with sports, so I still have my brain for solving everyday problems. ;)
This is great: many sports, including overseas. You can highlight favorite teams. Basic information is available immediately, and more depth is available with a few taps and quick access to more information. Unobtrusive ads (I dislike ESPN's web site because of the clutter). A great app for those who like sports, but don't like the overblown brouhaha of American sports culture.

This is the best sports app put together yet. Yes, it is lacking standings but I'm sure that will be added in future updates. It is the best looking sports app out there right now that covers so many sports. ESPN has already incorporated their myESPN member sign in to have all of your favorite sports loaded along with your favorite teams. They also have a bottomline ticker just like the channel. That screams awesome to me. I strongly suggest this app to any sports fan.

If you are looking for basic score from an entire league or select teams, this is your app. The app also gives you stats from recent games, but wont go back to Week 1 and you can't look beyond the next week. Sportacular has more option, but the UI suffers terribly and the full page ads made me delete it.
For those that had the app stop working after the last update, just reinstall the app. I had the same problem and now it's working again.

To me, this is just an outstanding app.
Pros: gives the ability to select specific sports to display, and hides the ones you don't care about; shows current scores, in game statistics, standings, box scores, top performers, etc.; lets you select favorite teams to watch; has a sports news ticker across the bottom, and it's FREE.
Cons: um, well, I'll have to get back on that one...

This app is much better than Sports Tap which r4eally struggles with getting scores of your favorite teams. ESPN does that seamlessly I don't have to search or what for loading everytime time I change a sport. I don't have to search for my fav teams they are there already on the page. Boy does this thing look great too and I love the always present bootom line scrolling just like the show itself. This is a very useful app.

This app is called "ScoreCenter" for a reason. The main focus is to provide scores to games. However, there is a highlight scroll on the bottom, which links to the story. You can also view the starting lineups prior to a game. After a game, you can see the scoring line with top performers as well as a link the the mobil web to view a recap. I think this is a great application. It does was it says and provides links to further detail.

How can it get better quick updates don't listen to it's bad or it's fine stays on track shows records(like 6-0)Get it and like it (no negitave)also shows mlb to. Ot.has the channal network it gas all score plays and it has when the teams last meant I can stay on top of stats da Bears!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It has every sport I don't know I would live without it bears super bowl champs It is a really fast app

I had been using MLB at bat lite before I found this app. I like all the features it has and they are all easy to setup. I have the SF Giants set as my favorite team and right now only have MLB scores displayed. The gamecenter feature is really nice and updates easily. Oh and the ESPN bottomline doesn't hurt although I haven't used the app continuous for long enough to take advantage of the bottomline, but it's cool none the less. Would highly recommend

I've had this almost all season long, and it is so in depth throughout the site. And with the in-app browser, it shows real time sports updates with every game, including injuries. Plus I can find any piece of information. It also has useless but great statistics on every start up. This is the most detailed sports app I've seen and for you whiners who paid nothing for it but still can't seem to get past the advertisements, they advertise their own freaking apps, it's great marketing and you hardly notice themAll I can say is i am not easily impressed with applications. But this app has it all, including individualStatistics on everyone in almost every sport.Unless you find an app better than this one, stop your complaining you free-loaders!

This is the best sports app for following scores and news that I have found on the iphone. You get to choose for yourself which sports to follow. You really like MLS, that's your problem but you can make it your first sport in the queue. A finger swipe brings you to your next sport. Assign your favorite teams too. It does not allow unlimited sports, but certainly enough for any season. And compared to Sports Tap my prior favorite, it loads more quickly and is nicer to look at. It also has a ticker at the bottom. There's a trivia question that appears while the app is loading, but maybe because I have the 3G S I can't read fast enough to finish these in time. No bugs so far either. I recommend this one for any sports fan.

When I was at The Memorial this past weekend this app lagged on the scores pretty bad. Right now that's my only complaint and this should be fixed when the push stuff happens. Over all I love this app. It does what I want and that's to get scores.--------What I have above this I'm going to keep till I try this out at the next Memorial but I'm changing to 5 stars because of how faster it loads and the addition to the my teams card. Now I don't have to shuffle from card to card. Love this app!

I have the NBA Game Time & the MLB.com At Bat apps but I deleted them because of the ScoreCenter. I have all my favorite teams and sports all in one app. I has great interface and nice graphics. Plus, it's FREE people!!! Don't rate it low because it doesn't have what you're looking for. Rate it for what it has and what it can do. With this app, you can follow just about any sports scores -- from your run of the mill basketball, baseball, football, hockey, golf & soccer. But you can also follow , get this -- tennis, rugby and cricket!!! You can even follow collegiate (NCAA scores). Oh, and did I mention Auto Racing?!
THIS IS THE BEST SPORTS SCORE APP THERE IS. Plus it's from ESPN! It's gotta be good!

I had the free MLB app, but have switched to this since the end of the season. I haven't tried sportacular, but I wasn't able to find a free NFL app that would just give scores and ingame update. I don't need push notifications, since my use for these apps is to follow the games as they occur when I'm not near a tv or radio. For that, this has been perfect and such a great upgrade from the MLB app (both for baseball itself and because I can also follow NFL, NBA, NHL games) that it's worth five stars to me. Oh, and I have never had a black screen or crashing problem, personally.

Great app...ESPN finally releases this app.
However do not load it down with junk like the CFL or other countries' universities unless they are popular...Some apps try to be too much to many people and just fail...Even us Canadians do not want second-rate football (look at how many people watch the CFL versus NFL) or underacheiving Canadian univeristy sports. If they cannot even put them on tv without a massive government subsidy, it is not worth ESPN's time. :)
