I did wonder what to expect for £0.00 but having followed the whole weekend at Silverstone I'm really pleased with this. The live timing worked very well for final qualification with comments and it loads quickly most of the time which was my complaint about another F1 app I downloaded at the start of the season. The GP coverage was smooth and well presented. I'm genuinely mystified why there are so many negative ratings. I suspect dirty tricks from competitors might have a lot to do with it. I can't think of any real negatives and if there are any upgrades in the pipeline they can only improve an already pretty impressive product. If the standards are maintained I won't be looking anywhere else for live GP on my phone.

I'm testing the app out against SpeedTV's live coverage of the British Grand Prix Qualifying, and it's really showing off how Speed's scheduling is on delay. I knew Nakajima was No.1 in quali round 1 about 10 min. (or more) before SpeedTV reported it. I hope a small bug with news & ads would be fixed, though. When ads appear in the news section, the scrolling doesn't allow you to move the text above the ad and lock it in place. What happens is that you scroll the text above the ad, but once you let go the text bounces back behind the ad. Otherwise, a great program so far.

Despite a lot of low ratings, almost everyone who has acrtually written a review loves it, and for good reason; it does its job very well of providing live-timing with some commentary, and unlike its competitors is free so it is risk free.
It isn't perfect- sometimes it fails to connect to the server properly and fails to retrieve anything (the logo spins indefinitely) but exiting and relaunching usually fixes that, the News section contains less stories than many other free F1 apps (but that isn't this apps main focus), and there are a few minor bugs and spelling errors (the most notable being McClaren in the live-timing) but nothing show-stopping.
The live-timing is what matters and it works well, at least it did during Silverstone qualifying and race which is the only time I've had a chance to use it. It is updated every 30 seconds and during qualifying is sorted by fastest lap in that session, as well as showing the fastest times in each of the three sessions (Q1, Q2, Q3). During the race it shows the drivers in current position order along with how far behind the lead car each is as well as the gap from the car imediately in front of them. Info is presented in portrait mode and you must scroll up/down to see all of the list- the limited screen-width means you do NOT get sector times which is the main omission.
If you follow F1 and want a live-timing app for your iPhone, try this app before any of the paid ones; it'll save you money.

Can't see any timings on live race: Vetel in the lead, but by a length or a lap? Comments every 5 to 10 laps are useful, but more often would be nice. Might be worth paying or profit-sharing to get a few more commentators (not that there's any profit on a free app other than the ads which aren't likely to be high) For a free app, overall, this is great.

Just like the soccer application, these guys are great at what they do. This app is better than any RSS or news feed when it comes to F1. No matter where I am, I get all the info I need. Too bad it's been released so late. Bot no worry, I've still got half of season to enjoy it in each tournament. Keep it up guys, hope to see many more cool apps in the future.

Does it exactly what it says it does & does it real well. Had a prob with no update to the drivers overall standings. Mailed the provider, who fixed it on 48 hours. That's good customer service.

Seems more responsive since the update. I used it to follow the German GP while watching on TV and the live commentary was right up to the minute. Nice to have something reliable if I can't follow a race on TV for whatever reason. The number of negative reviews is BS tbh. This app is as good as any other sports app I've seen.
