I would've paid over a fiver for this, it's superb. For proper football fans.
Brilliant graphics, live scores (just seen Coventry score at Birmingham), SQUAD LISTS in-play with substitutions, detailed league tables, covers every European premier division (and some lower leagues), all English league divisions, every single World Cup qualifying table from every continent, in-depth statistical data in-play/throughout the season (goals, bookings, red cards), and historical data on league standings and teams head-to-head.
No question whatsoever, the best football application for iPhone.

Anyone rating this a 1 star must be friends of the developer of the iFooty App. It is an absolute no contest between the two. So much so I have gotten rid of iFooty. This has Live updates from all games on one screen, it has full and complete tables (not the dumbed down summary from iFooty), and it has Champions League and UEFA cup as well (plus pretty much any other League). It works very well and is intuitve to use. The only small problem is that you have to select the Premiership from a main screen whenever you start it up. Otherwise, pretty much perfect.

This app is awesome. I love soccer and this app is really good. It lets me follow my favorite teams really well. It has plenty of stuff: squads, live, history, information... And it has a LOT of leagues. In plus they keep adding leagues, so if your favorite league isn't there, they are high chances that it will come in later updates. The My Teams feature is also very good, and the fact that you can have multiple teams in it. However, there are some things that could be improved. I gave this app 5 stars, but actually I think it deserves 4.5 for a couple of reasons. First, even though the number of leagues is impressive, I feel that there should be more leagues from south America (namely Argentina, and others). Also, the largest problem I could find was that there are no fixtures for the leagues, and the individual team fixtures don't go further than a week in the future. I think that fixtures are very important if for example you want to follow the world cup qualifiers. Obviously, it would be beyond amazing to have individual player information and match highlights, but that would probably be impossible... Other than that, I find this app really good, and very probably the best one. Some people complain about crashing, but I haven't had any problems. It works great. If you are looking for a soccer app, this is the one you need. Above all this, it only costs like 2 dollars, which is a very good price for an app this good - totally worth it. Graphically, it's also really well made, and user-friendly. VIVA ARGENTINA!!!

This app is everything that I wanted and even more. I play fantasy football (soccer) and this app helps me keep track of everyone of my players and the teams that are playing across the world. Its truly amazing what this app is capable of. I have impressed too many of my friends with all of the stats and other features that this app brings. If you are debating if this app is worth the 1.99... get it, you will not be dissapointed. No more need to visit a website for live scores or anything else. The few bad things about this app doesnt show are things like the substitues that the team has on the bench. The app does show when subs are made it just does not show the entire team. Every now and then the logos of the teams and leagues are not right but it doesnt cause any problems. Props to the makers of the app. THANK YOU!

What an excellent App - this is my all time fav app - anytime I want to check on my fav team (LIVERPOOL!!!! LIVERPOOL!!!) its right there - very good job people a def worthwhile buy - this one is on my first page - is it possible to get player pics in their bios in the next update - that would be an added benefit :) - if u could pull off live streaming matches then it would be football heaven on the go.....GREAT APP, GREAT WORK, BREAT BUY!!

This app. is easily the best soccer app on the iphone market right now. It is virtually live (goals scored would show up within a minute of the actual goal). The update has made it even better with Head 2 Head score of past games, My Teams which lets you follow club or international teams with one click. I think the history is amazing (some of the leagues like premiership have stats from before the 1930's). There are an immense number of leagues that you can follow, most i have never seen a game for or know one team from. Either way, it is unlikely that your favorite league or team is not featured. For each team you choose you can see the squad (divided by color from attack, mid, defense, and coach) and you can also see games from the past or that week.
Improvements - it seems you have to switch from the "table" tab to the "matches" tab then to the statistics to see them and even then sometimes they dont show, even for premier league
- there are only a few minor things i wish would be included. First would be to somehow include the country that some of the leagues are from (rather than just a flag since many have the same names).
- this is a major fix and im not sure if its even possible but what about player statistics, at least for the current season to see what attackers are averaging a game and how many saves a goalie has per game.
- when showing league tables, maybe make a little bit more space in between each team or make the font bigger b/c it is hard sometimes to select exactly what team you want to. Maybe you could just make the font adjustable...
These are all minor issues that, if left unfixed, would still not affect how great the app already is but with these improvements there would be no competition.

What a fantastic app! If you are even half interested in world football this is the one app to have on your iphone/touch! I emailed the developer re A League inclusion and received confirmation that they were looking into it within an hour! Now the A League is there it thoroughly deserves 5 stars. As other reviewer said hopefully support can be included for World Cup etc. Great info, easy to read stats, you wont be disappointed.

This is a great, and very comprehensive, Football app. The ability to add new leagues without releasing new versions of the program is a bonus. I was going to hold off buying the app until the A-League had been added, but after a quick email to Supportware, they notified me that the A-League would be added any moment. Sure enough, within 24 hours it was in the list. Excellent! Now if they could add the FIFA World Cup Asian qualifiers in there too, it would be Footy Nirvana! :^)
Obviously the app goes off to get data from web-based sites, I wonder if some caching in the program could avoid some of the delays? This is only a very minor point though, it's not enough to take away points.

5 Stars now that it has A-League

I think a lot of people will be expecting the A-League with a new update, but I noticed that the A-League appeared without an update. If there's some kind of way to notify all Australians who have this app that the A-League is now there that would be great.
There's a few bugs to do with the A-League inclusion. For some reason when you go to history, the first three seasons of the A-League are made up of Group A and Group B. What is up with that????? It looks like the pre-season cup tables. Please replace those tables with the actual A-League competition tables. Adelaide were top of the table in Season 1, Melbourne in Season 2 and the Central Coast Mariners in Season 3.
Another bug I found was the squad listings. There are a few players in Sydney's squad who aren't there anymore. As an example: Mark Milligan, Ruben Zadkovich, Michael Bridges have left the club ages ago. This needs to be fixed.
There are a few other glitches with club logos getting mixed up, but apart from that, this is probably the most awesome app I've seen. Absolutely brilliant!!!

Excellant soccer app covering every league and fixture with live updates. All internationals also. Fixtures for every league and a history for some leagues dating back a century. Even has current statistics of top goal scorers etc for all leagues. This app is a must for any soccer fan anywhere in the world. Has all the info you need in a hurry. Highly recommend. Maybe future version could include Australia's A-league.... Otherwise superb comprhensive live soccer results. Well worth the 2.50!!

This App is by FAR the best football application. It lists all European and Fully International Leagues. Including, World Cup Qualifiers and English Premier Leagues! The Champions League and Premier (amongst others) support "live features" and this actually really works, tried and tested!!!
I don't know why anyone else is having problems with this app, maybe your running an older firmware? (i'm running 2.21).
Excellnt for the avid footy fan! Love it ------------------ 5/5!!!!!

This is a great football, i have downloaded and used all that are available. this and one other are the only football apps worth keeping, i only use the other app as this app lacks a news feed for individual clubs are even for the league in general. However the wide coverage of leagues and ability to select the leagues that are of interest makes this app joint number 1, the addition of news feeds would make this the one and only football app needed. Almost Great

A very, very good application if you need this sort of information on the move. One of my most used apps and worth the small fee. A lot more comprehensive when compared to iFooty. However, I have recently noticed that English Premier League fixtures seem to be an hour in front of the actual kick off times. Has only occurrd in the last two or three weeks. Haven't checked other leagues, so may only be EPL. If this can be resolved, as it's caught me out quite a few times being a season ticket holder, I'll up my rating to 5 stars.

This is a good app, decent amount of statistics and it updates goals quickly.
Initially I had a problem with this application as the developers originally confirmed that it would stop working after this season. So you would have paid to use it for 6 months and then pay again. If I had known this I certainly would have thought twice about buying it (it wasn't advertised in the app's description).
However since I wrote the review the developers have been in contact and are promising me that the application will now run till at least 31 December 2009. A lot can change in the meantime especially around iTunes App Store and it's flexibility around offering discounts/upgrades to applications and if iTunes allows it then the developers intend to offer their current customers a good deal to buy again. They say they will also update the description to state any end date for the application.
It now gets a better review for the developers responsiveness and their willingness to listen to their customer.

Hi guys,
i bought this, nice price at just over a pound, i did used to use ifooty (free) but since the fixtures copyright thing, that app never appealed to me as much as it used to, so i decided to purchase this.
im really glad i did, apart from it missing a 'news' part of the program for your certain team, this program is awesome, it shows proper team logos, top goal scorers, top yellow cards, top red cards etc and also gives you the complete squad listing with their ages too.
UEFA leagues/groups/stats also included aswell as many many many leagues from all over the world, including MLS for the usa fanbase.
i recommend this to all football (soccer if your american :) ) fans.
ive given it 4 stars instead of 5, simply because its not yet perfect... and its missing the news section which i used to love on ifooty.
keep developing and improving this app please, im loving it!

I've had this app installed for a few months now and it is constantly improving with every update, although there is still plenty of work to be done mainly to the interface: It's a bit...PC ish? Doesn't look as good as many iPhone apps, I also find that the rows are little bit too thin, and often end up tapping the wrong team etc. I don't have overly large hands so I'm sure I'm not the only person who suffers from this. I also feel it would benefit from being a little lighter, I don't feel that league history etc is really required in a iPhone app, by doing this it would allow for 5 icons along the bottom of the screen, TABLES, MATCHES, LIVE, TODAY, MY TEAMS. In my opinion this would make an easier to navigate app and would be better because of it.
What is the reason that the team names can't be done in an order (either positions or squad numbers) the randomness seems weird? what is your source of information?
Also on a note closer to home, Southampton F.C play at St Mary's stadium not Milton Road!

Update: following on from my review below, I have kept my word and now review this application as 4 stars. Annoying bugs appear to have been fixed with the most recent update and it is now useable! ------ It's such a shame that an app with all these features can be so buggy and slow. Tried the app on two different iPhones, 1st gen and a 3G and it frequently crashes on both. This app has problems rendering the tables, connectivity issues and the history feature is too slow to be off any use. I'm sick of it bringing up the try again later screen, even tried it on different ADSL networks and a 43 meg internet connection and it still fails to connect with their server for no apparent reason. I'd personally recommend you steer clear off this app until the bugs are fixed. Ifooty is a lot quicker and more responsive. Bugs like this are not acceptable for an app in the year 2008 and this app appears to be still BETA. I'd give it 1 star at the moment, 4 stars if they can fix the serious bugs.

This app has greatly improved since I purchased it a few months ago. They've added more leagues, sorted out the scrolling issues and generally speeded it up. It has almost every thing now I need from a footy app, only thing missing is team news rss feed that you get in the iFooty app but I can live without that (I now just go staight to BBC website). Only minor niggles would be it can be slightly tricky to select teams as the rows are quite narrow for my chubby fingers and I do get occasional timeouts on match days.

Pretty cool app! It does everything iFooty doesn't!
Everything is swish. I would like to see last match scores in the My Team section. So say i went to Liverpool FC in My Teams, you'd see the name, premiership pos and then the score of their current game/last game played.
I'll amend my review rating as things improve :)
Keep it up, i look forward to seeing where this app goes in the future :)

Just what the Dr ordered. Excellent App, having tried several, in my opinion, this is by far the best. Has a very user friendly menu which can be personalized to your liking. I absolutely agree with “funkyape”, would definitely like to be able to view previous results easily, in fact all funkyape's suggestions are good, and “sonola777”, a News section is a must, if their suggestions are added, this App will be the absolute number 1. I'm sure the developers will keep improving the App as it gets more popular. Keep up the good work.
Since writing this review I have had cause to contact the support for some info, I am just as impressed with the support as the app. Lightning response time, within in the hour!!!! If you could rate the support I'd give it a 5, well done & thanks.
