New update has a few glitches.

Just downloaded the new version 1.3.1 but I'm seeing a few glitches. Great app by the way!
1. Fairways hit counter includes the par 3's as a fairway hit on the detailed scorecard.
2. What is the meaning or need for C, R & L? I assume it is to mean you hit the fairway in the center or missed it right or left?
3. The rolling details window that records your shot, fairways hit, GIR and putts is not calibrated very well. The selected input does not align properly with the heading, i.e. S, F, GIR or Putts; it either falls above or below alignment making it confusing as to wether you have correctly entered in your info.
4. I do not see the ability to have multiple distance arrows as shown on your screen shot on the home page, i.e. (1) red arrow and (1) orange arrow. possible that works with the mark feature and i haven't discovered that yet.
Recommendations:
1. Bring back the very simple score input procedure and get rid of the rolling slot machine GUI; you had it right from the beginning.
2. Eliminate the C, R & L and bring back the X and O for fairways.

Excellent Improvements/Great App

Back on June 23, I wrote a not so complimentery review of this app. Now with the latest upgrades, I love this app and glad I didn't give up on it. I never heard directly back from customer support, but all my issues were addressed and the new scoring input dials are great. The rangefinder, my biggest issue, now worked flawlessly with almost immediate yardage updates as I moved around the course. My faith is restored. Thanks for making this app well worth the $25!

I've been using this app for a month now, and I freaking love it! Every course I play is on it, no service problems, love that you can pick off distances to anything you want, this app is just amazing. No service fees, just the initial cost... I got in on sale... I cant believe that its better than a $400 golf only gps unit, but it does so much more and costs so much less. I cant even think of anything I'd want added to it.

Wonderful idea, great execution. The accuracy was within a few yards of the sprinkler heads and the holes loaded nice and quickly. It is fairly easy to use. The gps does take a few seconds to settle on the yardage but that is the case with the technology. The scorecard works but I felt it was a bit cumbersome to use. I prefer my pencil to entering it in digitally anyways, so no big loss for me. I wonder if the iPhone will support the new european satellite system. I hear it's even more accurate than gps.

Viewti is a very nice program. I'm biitter because I just purchased a Skycaddie not too long ago. New to both, I have to say that Viewti surpasses Skycaddie in too many ways, it makes Skycaddie feel very dated. Even if you don't look at the price, I would have to give my recommendation to Viewti. The iphone is such a great device that it seems you can do almost anything that use to be a limitation on other gadgets. Needless to say, I highly recommend you it out.

Best golf gps app out there

I freakin love this app. Yardages are almost always right on, but you have to remember to give it a few seconds to pick up satellites as you walk up near your ball. All apps using gps will do this. A bit of a battery hog but only if you leave it on or use it multiple times per hole, which will happen at first since your buddies will want to know their yardages too. Awesome customer service. My course was mapped within 12 hours of my request. Great job guys.

If your thinking about buying this app and your having second thoughts your crazy!! haha I have used it twice so far and this app has been pretty much dead on with yardage. It's really nice to have this app right here on my phone (which is always close to me) instead of looking for sprinkler head markings to find my yardage. And the customer support is a BIG + I asked for my home course to be mapped and in a couple days.....bam an email saying it was available now on ViewTi Golf!!!! Heck Yeah!! Thanks ViewTi you've saved my golf game. Tony.

Dead on the mark

Accurate to within 3-4 yards on 2 courses so far. I won't get to take it on another round of golf for a few weeks so I thought I'd let you guys know how it went. I left the unit on the entire day and it lasted the round just fine. The gps had my position and didn't take more than a few seconds to read the correct yardage. There was one time where I noticed it jumped to a few thousand yards but only took about 10 seconds to correct itself. I didn't bother usering the scoring. The yardage is a very handle tool to have at your side.

Bought one day and my home course not on list (in UK) requested it and got it in less than 24 hours! What great service! Compared accuracy to older course guides - exceptional accuracy, and fantastic app to use. Better than so many other golf GPS systems, and at such a price it is a must! Great scorecard function but would be nice if allowed handicap entry and S.I info Which would make even better. Must buy for any gadget golfer! Previous reviews have suggested bad in UK - not my experience - exceptional service and rapid course addition to list! What are you waiting for?

After trying 6 other golf apps, Viewti golf is my favorite one for my iPhone 3G. From my experience, this one has most accurate readings on the course. Loading time for images is quicker comparing to other golf applications. Very friendly user interface.
The courses are mapped by professional mappers. No need to map like other golf apps. No annual fees.
And responsive customer support.

This is a tremendous App..... Firstly the Customer Service is A credit to the company.... I only wish more people took so much pride in their work.....!! I am one of those "All the gear no idea" Golfers..... So a Sky Caddie was high on my list of must haves...... Pricey though for a toy.....!!! So after a few Emails I had my mind made up I was gonna plump for the Viewti Golf Option..... It was NOT a bad decision,I have had all 5 Courses (UK) that I requested mapped in double quick time..... The App has performed everytime I have used it...... Please save your Money and Download Viewti Now....!! Fore......!!

I have used ViewTi Golf for the last 2 months. Generally a new course takes 24 hours from request to delivery. Distances are accurate to a few yards. The movable distance finder is great and helps you avoid fairway bunkers, lakes etc as well as giving you more accurate distance to front and backs of greens. Only minor issue is that it sometimes takes a little time to refresh the yardage (less than 5% of the time). For the price it is simply brilliant.

App works as advertised and loading speed is extremely quick compare to other applications. The biggest reason I bought this app was the rangefinder feature. And I am glad that I bought this one. The rangefinder feature is extremely easy to use and accurate. Flyover views are just amazing. They show the holes and greens with the details. If you want a golf rangefinder for your iphone, get this one. This is the best app for golfers.

This app is awesome and works great. If you close the app while playing golf it has a resume feature to pick where you left off. I did have to reboot the phone after installing to make the course images download work properly but that's no big deal. I was told by an Apple store tech to reboot after installing any app and more and more I finding this info true. Thanks for a great app keep the enhancements coming!!!!!

I purchased View Ti Golf for my iPhone on Thursday and used the next day at Pacific and will use it at Oxley on Monday. The performance was outstanding. It was easy to use, easy to see the distances (despite the sunshine) although you did need to shade the screen to see the satellite image of the course. The response was quick and very little drain on battery life (and data usage minimal).
The response from the Support Team has been amazing. They added two new courses that I requested within the same day.
I showed View Ti Golf to a mate while I was on the course and he said "got to get it when I finish the round" (he owns an iPhone).
I also showed View Ti to another mate who owns another popular golf GPS device. He was amazed that View Ti could do more than his device which cost several hundred dollars.
I will keep spreading the good word.

I gotta say this app delievers as advertised. Loading time for the images used for rangefinder is quicker than other golf applications. App is very well programmed. With just 2 clicks, i am on the course playing with the rangefinder feature. Other golf apps make you map the courses and takes a lot of clicks to get to the 1st hole which is very annoying. I really like the scorekeeping feature too which is easy on the eye and simple. The support is amazing mapping my 4 courses in a day.
Thanks for great app and service! Well deserved 5 star!

I bought this app in the middle of my round today. The learning curve is simple enough I was able to enjoy the app for the rest of the round that day. I only really used the layouts to fine yardages and it was a big help. Fiddled a bit with the other stuff but didn't devy too deep because I was focused more on enjoying my day off. Thanks for coming up with the idea to bring this to the iPhone. Keep up the good work.

Always thought Skycaddie was a great idea but never convinced myself to fork over the money for one when I'm more of a hack and chop kinda guy. I really enjoy going out and playing a round with my buddies and knowing I have this app in my pocket, and that I can get the yardage at my convenience is well worth it. I don't use many of the features as I still use the a pencil to track my round, but the core of what this offers is all I need.

Used this over the last week at 3 differant phoenix area courses. This app was awesome. One course we were on(legends at arrowhead) we also had the in cart gps and this was accurate witin 1-2 yards of that one. The only benefit of the cart gps was they had the pin location preprogrammed in. Other than that I was able to locate all bunkers yardage with the finger touch location feature. I almost bought a sky caddy but this app is a much better deal. I requested a course that I could not find here in Chicago, and within 1 day I got an email saint it was added. Now that is service. Top notch application all the way!

It definitely does what I expect from a range finder for my phone. Accurate yardage, great extras, can't find a course in my area they don't have. I tried the most popular free golf app and it's definitely free for a reason. It seemed more like an attempt than a complete product. I can't say I've tried out all or even most of the other golf apps offered on the app store but I know what I like and I've found it.
