Get FastContacts now & join the 200,000 users who love using FastContacts! ----------------------------------------- Why use iPhone's plain vanilla "Contacts" app when you do much more with the super powerful FastContacts? Here is what you get with FastContacts: -------------- Features -------------- Just like you flip through album art in iPod, you can flip through your contact photos using cover flow. See the screenshots. Hate missing birthdays and anniversaries? The Alarms feature reminds you of upcoming birthdays, anniversaries and other events. The application icon badge shows the count of upcoming events. Why settle for something plain and boring? FastContacts gives you beautiful color themes to suit your mood and style. Can't remember the name of the plumber or that super cool restaurant? In addition to Name, Company, Phone Number & Address fields, FastContacts searches the Notes fields in your address book to find buried information. Now you can finally search your Outlook Notes that you synced to your iPhone! Visiting San Franciso (or any other city)? With one click sort all your contacts by City and quickly decide who you want to meet (and who to avoid). You can also sort by State, Zip, Country, etc. Organizing an alumni dinner (or any such event)? Tap the "Group Email" button to quickly send an email to all your alumni group members (or any such group) with one click. Looking for a job or a professional connection? Quickly sort your contacts by their Company/Department to see your connections. List your contacts by "Events last/this/next month" or "Events by month" to be prepared for all the upcoming events!! Add/modify/delete contact records. Works great even when you sync your Contacts with MobileMe, Microsoft Exchange, Address Book (on Mac) or Outlook (on PC). Recommended for fans of iBeer, LightBike, Wobble, Blocked, Distant Shore, iShoot, Tetris, PocketGuitar, iFart, Ocarina, Koi Pond & FieldRunners. --------------------------------- What other users say --------------------------------- Version 1 was a 5-star app for me. This new version is twice as good! Great app! Love how it organizes dates as long as I have the contacts information! Works perfect. Apple should buy you and integrate these functions into the native Contacts! This app is great for upcoming and missed birthdays! Everybody should have it - best app ever in this category! Awesome supplement to the phonebook and calendar applications! Searching the NOTES is wonderful! This app has officially replaced the iPhone's Contacts app for me! -------------------------------- How FastContacts Works -------------------------------- FastContacts uses information from your Contacts application on your device (i.e. Address Book) to organize/sort contacts. For example, when you sort your contacts by "Events by month", FastContacts uses the date field information (any date field such as birthday or anniversary that is stored for a contact) to sort and display the contact list. Note: FastContacts does NOT duplicate your contact data - it reads/writes your existing contact data from your iPhone.

Reviews:
Sweet App with ID photos By: Ckretz - Sep 30, 2009 Version: 3.2 Overall, an awesome app I prefer and use over the standard contacts app. Need the ability to assign contact's photo from iPhone album(s) AND retain selected photo if deleted from iPhone album. Sometimes you only want to see who you are calling when placing a call - not everytime you open your photos (can not assign callers from photos retained by third party applications or "hidden" photos either).
Wow By: Reasonator - May 24, 2009 Version: 3.0 This is the first time I have given an app 5 stars in a first rating! This app does so much more than it really advertises. I can't even decide what feature is my most favorite! I did notice that, if a contact has been set up with a custom ringtone, the app will not display that ringtone correctly. But that is the only issue I have had as yet, I have not even experienced the crashing that other users are talking about?
GREAT APP!
FastContacts is a must have! By: Scott Crevier - Mar 22, 2009 Version: 2.4 FastContacts does everything that Contacts should do, but doesn't. My two favorite features are: showing all my contacts by company name (no matter what group they're in), and showing all upcoming birthdays, including how old each person will be! Even shows anniversaries. And it does all this using existing Contacts data.
Had a support issue, e-mailed the author, resolved in a couple hours.
Stop waiting. Get this app now!
Application Consultant By: Zoon1 - Mar 21, 2009 Version: 2.4 From using the Kyocera to vx6600 to vx6700 PDAs, I was somewhat reluctant to go with the iPhone. Microsoft means Business and Apple means Fun.I decided to have some fun after having PDA phones for the last 8 years....Disappointed in the core product apps for iPhone..yep. iPhone core product sorts Outlook contacts alphabetically and that's it! As I have about 800 contacts, remembering names was pretty far fetched as I needed to reference companies. On a project, you can encounter 10 - 20 new people with each project. As I ran out of time to return the iPhone because of my disappointment, preliminary searching of contact apple apps wasn't too promising. Fortunately, I found this app. Installation is easy...Sorting is quick...and it offers more sorting capabilty than I need but may find useful in the future. As a tethered Outlook user, I'd recommend this product for those that meet similar requirements to sort your contact info. OK SpiceLoop..Now...how about Outlook reminders and allowing "snooze" functionality. Gauntlet is thrown...
Excellent, well-thought-out app By: fsl3 - Mar 17, 2009 Version: 2.4 Buy this app. It has virtually everything that Apple should have included in its own Contact manager, and these guys deserve support for putting it together. The search feature works smoothly, and the pre-set lists by various fields (first or last, company, city, state) are all really helpful. In fact, it's encouraging me to clean up my contacts list by adding in some missing data so that I can really take advantage of these features. My only (small) complaint is that I use Gmail contacts, not Outlook, and right now my groups do not sync over; however, I got a rapid response from support saying that they are thinking about adding it. Overall, a terrific program.
Fantastic app for sales reps By: tiger 32 - Feb 22, 2009 Version: 2.3 I am in pharma sales and needed to organize my contacts by city but also include family, friends and personal groups. If that is what you need to do, this is it. I can add notes and set birthdays. I haven't used it long enough to to get a reminder on a birthday so I don't know if there is a lead time for it. Also, I am technically challenged so I got the app and then couldn't figure out why under groups it still had only all contacts listed. In order to save you some time, this is how you do it. Go to outlook and under contacts add new group folders. That's it. Something that you may want to be aware of is that you can only file a person under one group. Not an issue for me but it might be for you. Also, I have set up google sync and can sync my calendar. It would be fantastic if I could also link my contacts in google with this app as opposed to only working in outlook. (If there is a way, let me know!) Thanks for making my life easier SpiceLoop!
Nice! By: SuperLRD - Jul 26, 2009 Version: 3.2 I downloaded it once and deleted it because it was pretty much the same thing as the Apple contact program. I was bored one day and decided to add it back on to play around with it and it is now the one I keep on my main page. Love that you can change the color! Love that there is a badge option which shows upcoming events. That is GREAT! Also, like that you can send text messages directly from the app. This is the first time I've given an app 5 stars! If this is indeed 'on sale' then you HAVE to take advantage and download it!
Better than iPhone's own Contacts app By: HastingsBreaks - 30-Jul-2009 Version: 3.2 Great little app that works seamlessly with your contacts stored on the phone, even allows you to edit without leaving the app. Unlike older review, this version (1.0) does have the alphabetical scroll bar on the right as in Contacts. Relies on you completing your contact's details, so if you just have abbreviated names and phone numbers, this won't help you get organised. Only minor gripe is not a very pretty icon. Note to developers - Please replace icon with a more apple-esque icon, and it will replace Contacts in my dock permanently!!
Fast Contacts By: JeffO123 - Jan 6, 2009 Version: 2.1 I haven't used all of the features yet, but this is the product to get if you want to see your contacts by their company. You can easily find all of the contacts for a given company, select the one you want, then by selecting one of the phone numbers it will dial from within the app. Additionally, if you select to view the contacts by company and then close the app - the next time it opens it will be in the view by company mode. Far superior to ABContacts....
Excellent contact app!! By: Curb Stompin' - Jul 22, 2009 Version: 3.2 NIce contact app, Coverflow view is really nice. Needs to be able to import your Facebook, Yahoo contacts, other apps do this why not this one? I'm not a fan of the theme's offered, more specifcally the light colored background of the themes. I would prefer to be able to pick what color I want for the entire page with the ability to change the text color, example would be say a yellow text on a solid black background. Perhaps in a future update? All in all a very nice app.

Oh Yes! What I have been waiting for! By: Meemaji - Dec 12, 2008 Version: 2.1 I had this application for about 2 months now. I liked it until now when I started to love it. I have a contact list of about 1200 contacts with several pages of notes for some of the contacts. Until now this application was helping me find contacts with several different methods, but If I didn't know their first or last name, I felt limited. With the recent updgrates, now this product can search for a keywork even in my contact notes. Oh Yes! now I can find any contact I want. Great enhancement!

Office In A Note By: JJ Jr - Sep 26, 2008 Version: 1.3 I use this APP as my CRM/Tickler. We're a non-profit legal aid organization with a clinic in the basement of a soup kitchen. So no computers or internet. I use this APP to conduct intake in the Notes section of the Contact. Then I added a Date labeled Next Action to remind me when something is due. Flipping the APP to Events This Month or Events Next Month, voila CRM/Tickler. Didn't finish? Then just switch the date in the Contact. Sync to Google/Yahoo for an free "in-the-cloud" version (although no due dates show up - maybe mobile.me?). Right now, the only thing I'd really like to see is a landscape mode for data entry.
Awesome free application. It should replace the regular Apple contacts app! By: unikplus - Sep 13, 2008 Version: 1.2 I very much enjoy this free app. Its capability to sort by different criteria allows to fully leverage the information you put in your contacts. This is especially useful if you sync with Outlook where a lot of fields are available to save miscellaneous information. I particularly like the sort by "Events by month" to have a synthetic view of all the upcoming birthdays. Great jobs. Kudos to the developers!

Awesome By: Aznbabbo - Aug 23, 2008 Version: 1.0 awesome app, really. kudos to the developer for this FREE but totally useful app essential to the iphone. it does wat it says it'll do, works great, and makes life easier. the only thing I can ask for right now is a better looking icon for the app.. it's the only app I actually feel the need to put on the front page along with all the main basic apps and it doesn't quite fit in.. I suggest removing the white outlining the icon. but other than that, thanks for the super app!!!
Free, Easy, Helpful, Human! By: paige.findley - Aug 16, 2008 Version: 1.0 I like this very simple app. It does just what it says and is easy to configure. It doesn't do much, but what it does, it does well. However, there was one major function missing: the ability to SORT my contacts by birthdate or anniversary rather than name... that way you could see them in chrono-order. So, i sent off a request via the app's handy little 'feedback' function, which was also very easy to use. Well get this... Shortly after i emailed my request, a real live HUMAN emailed me back... addressed me by my first name and everything! Whoa. The stock on this app went up at least another 1/2 star right then. Not only was it a real human, but they had great news about the functionality i requested: it is included in their latest update which is currently under review for publication (as of 2008-08-15). Super! NOTE: I'm basing my vote of 5 rather than 4 stars on the assumption that the SORT feature mentioned above is going to work. Who knows what other good stuff we can expect in the update. Great job, SpiceLoop. And thanks, Vinay, for the email. hAPPy!

A must have application! By: Jayson767 - 03-Sep-2008 Version: 1.1 This comes close to being exactly what I've been looking for. Great for viewing upcoming events like birthdays. Would be great to have the option of displaying the contacts photo alongside each event. Also the ability to select more then one event to display at the same time (eg Events this month AND Events next month) would make this app truely useful. Thanks to the developers for such a great app. I'm giving this one 5 stars in anticipation of these improvements.
