Great little trial application. I was able to download 10 free ringtones. I liked it enough to buy their full version for a buck. Nice selection, easy to use, had my ringtones in a few minutes. My only suggestion would be to have a few softer and quieter ringtones. I'd like to be able to assign softer ringtones to some of my contacts.

I have read a few reviews about this application and I thought it was going to be a little difficult for me to be successful. I have only owned my iphone for less than a few weeks and have installed some silly games and other miscellaneous gadgets.
I am a software developer and I knew that this app had to have a backend system unlike the standalone games/tools I've downloaded. Anyway, it runs very well for me so I am a little confused why a new user like me figured out the process on the first time while others had a few problems. I liked the application and am writing my first review to let people know it is a great tool and I personally think you should give it a try.

More than 3 free secret

Listen. I found a way of getting around the 3 free limit. After u get to 3, the fourth email will say you have reached your limit. All u do from here is simply delete this app. and reinstall it. It will give u a prompt saying that u have already paid for this app and this would just reinstall it. Press ok. Start the process again. Repeat the delete/reinstall process every 3 emails and you could save all 250 ringtones to your iTunes account. Let me know if this works for anyone else.

I have joined the rankings that think this is a five star app.
At first, I originally reviewed 1001 Ringtones Lite as a 1-star application because I didn't think it worked. I never received my ringtone. However, I discovered the ringtone in my spam folder just now and realized that the app told me in several places that it might be in my spam folder. Okay, so I don't read directions very well, but I am willing to correct my errors (which is what I am doing in my review here).
I recommend this app to anyone who wants a few sweet ringtones.

simply due to the fact that there seemed to be a couple of complaints in this forum so i wasn't sure i wanted to give it a try. however i am glad i did. i have found this to be one of the best deals on the app store.
yes the whole process has a few steps but it worked for me the first time. i got the free ringtones i ordered almost instantly.
i'm not sure what the problem is for those that are complaining, but i can tell you that it worked for me and i am quite pleased with my new tones. i'm wondering if the people that are having problems are emailing the developers?

I don't know why this app isn't getting better reviews. I got my 3 ringtones as promised, and they are fantastic. This is the first time I've felt compelled to write a review. I'm totally pleased with the 3 I downloaded, and I fully intend to buy the paid version. Cudos to the developer for bringing such imaginative material to the iPhone. The cartoon sound ringtone is worth the price all by itself. I'm very happy to have tried this app.

I like this application. It is a rather eloquent application that could use a few little improvements. I see others, like me, love the diversity of the selection and I too like the quality. Clearly someone has taken a large amount of time to find a broad range of great ringtones. The process isn't the easy as I would hope to simply install the ringtone on my phone directly, but it works beautifully.
If you can finally get it to install directly on to the phone and not have to use the iTunes method, then you'll have a great 5-star application!

ADVICE FOR THE NEW USERS-

This application is actually quite simple. However, it seems that a few people had problems so let me explain to you what I have learned:
1) Download the ringtone application.
2) Listen to the ringtones and select the ringtone you like. (Make sure you turn up the volume while in the application)
3) Type in your email twice (i assume this is to insure you don't mistype your email).
4) You will receive a ringtone in a matter of seconds (I did but it was in my spam folder).
5) If you do NOT receive a ringtone, it means it is either in your spam or it is blocked by your email provider. If it is blocked, they send you an alternative method to receive your ringtone (it is a URL that allows you to download it).
6) Download the ringtone to your computer (it seems Apple doesn't allow ringtones directly to your iPhone. stop complaining about it. it is the way it is and you can't change it)
7) Copy your ringtones into iTunes
8) Synchronize with your iPhone
This took me less than two minutes from the time I requested my ringtone until I actually received it.
I actually think this is a well written application. It seems that many people are complaining about not receiving their ringtones. It is clear that the ringtones are being sent, but for some people there is something preventing them from receiving the emails. Check out their website (JLCMobile.com) for additional help.

Alright to everyone saying this was a waste of time and it didn't work, perhaps you should stfu and actually read the description before you post ignorant reviews. This app does exactly what it says it does. This is a LITE version which is limited to 250/1001 of the ringtones. It also only allows 3 free downloads so choose wisely. Aside from that the app works perfectly, good selection, only a slight amount of ads. A+

The application is really cool but customer service is even better...

I attempted to download some ringtones, I was having a bit of trouble with the process, therefore, I decided to contact their customer service and in less than I minute I had an email back with the step by step process and a link for FAQ.
In addition, they guided me through the process. I RECOMMEND this application to EVERYONE!!!! It's super cool and I was informed that they will continue to add new songs like dance12.

This app is great even tho you can get only 3 ringtones, it also tells you how many you're albe to get with the free app unless you buy it. I had a problem and they e-mailed me back right away and when that didn't help my situation they emailed me again and fixed my problem! I'm going to buy this app I think it's worth it! For the people who are tlkin smack about it jus doesn't knw how to work it.

I downloaded this lite version and thought why not?? Had my 3 gs iPhone for a few weeks now and at first tried to see if any of my songs in iTunes would go for free as aringtoneiqq but they are protected so could not do any free one but was able to experiment with making one on my own for .99 it came out pretty good! but I have to say this app is awesome!!!!!! After checking it out in the lite version spent no time on the three free ones u get with the lite! I immediately downloaded the paid version for .99 cents and I just love it because the tones are so funny and creative!!! Simple instructions!and had a blast listening and adding them on to My iPhone !!! In fact this is the first tiMe that I am submitting a review for any app out there although I have many on my iPhone!!' none of them made me want to write an review!!! So highly recommend this app!!! Mahalo !!!

Ok a few of them do get like a miniscule cut off at the end but so what does everyone here not answer their phones and let's it ring all the way??? And I like their clarity and loudness for 99cents you can't do better! I reconize most of the songs and I think most of ALL of them r funny they put a smile on my friends faces! I'm happy with this company it rocks and is simple to use 5+ stars in my book :-)

There appears to be a lot of negative reviews, but I thought I would give it a try anyway. At first the ringtones did not appear anywhere after I downloaded them, but all I had to do was change the file name to remove the "+" signs and it works like a charm. All you have to do is click on the link that they e-mail you, click on Save, then in the Save As box just remove the + signs (i.e. Ethereal+Tone+5.m4r you want to be: EtherealTone5.m4r). Once Saved, just double click on the file (I save to my downloads folder) and bingo the ringtone is immediately added to the Ringtones folder in iTunes. Once you sync with you iPhone they are all there.
Hopes this helps! PS - I was able to download a lot more than the "3" that others have reported here.

I was ultimately satisfied with this app. I was happy to finally add to the limited amount of ringtones available on my iPhone without having to shell out a lot of cash. You only get 3 downloads with the lite version and you have to make sure to look for them in your spam box. Also if you are looking for modern music ringtones this is not for you. Most of the ringtones are just good old fashioned fun. I downloaded the full version for only 99 cents and now have unlimited ringtones. I would definitely recommend.

Guys! Stop your complaining! Did you see the note that it mentioned you have to download from iTunes! It also gave you the reason why! Becasuse they can't!! Anyway I have one issue! Why did it not say only 3 downloads on the free version? I did rubbish ones first and then got to the good ones to be told I've had my lot! My son really wanted to txt message that sounded like transformers! He's now crying coz his mum wasted the first 3 on her! Oh well! At least they worked! Thanks
