Excellent alarm

The alarm works very well, I haven't had any problems with it not going off or closing when the screen locks.I agree with some suggestions, the ability to change the snooze time would be very nice and change it so that you're adjusting the real brightness if the screen.For the people complaining about it draining your battery, plug it in. Li-ion batteries don't degrade nearly as quickly as old type batteries from being charged to full without draining all the way. Intact li-ion batteries have a bit of a memory and if you do a huge power usage, say playing a game for 5 minutes then go straight to extremely low usage the battery will recharge a little on it's own after a couple minutes.

all the other alarm clocks out there either never went off or when setting the timer it had to be every other minute or just didnt work and this one is by far the best one i wrote a review before the update and all i wanted for the update was to make it so it worked on silent mode so ppl dont call me in the middle of the nite and have to leave my phone volume on and now they completled that and it works perfect i been looking for one that actually works i tryed maybe 4 others and either some picked and choose when it was gonna work or u had to set it by every other minute so this one def works great just like a alarm should dont know why they didnt add a alarm to begging with for the iphone probley cuz they wanted u to buy the apps for it but anyways deff wanted this on my phone nothin else more they need to do to modify this so keep it as it so it doesnt get f****d up

This app does what it says it does: be an alarm clock. One thing I don't like, though, is the fact that when you have it on auto-lock and your alarm goes off, you have to unlock your iPhone/ iPod to snooze or turn it off (I use a passcode so it's hard to unlock it when I'm halfway awake). It would be nice to have a push notifictation type thing where if your iPhone/ iPod is locked, it pops up when the alarm goes off, giving you the option to snooze or stop right there without going through the trouble of unlocking it. Also it would be nice to be able to shuffle your songs if you have a playlist, because waking up to the same song every day gets pretty boring... Other than those two things, this is a great app and an easy alternative to the clock/ radio that used to wake me up.

Apple's alarm clock isn't always reliable since it has failed to make a sound even though there is a prompt recognizing an alert. After being late to work many times, I decided to give Alarm Clock Pro a shot.
I Love it!
First of all, it has a lock screen that keeps the app running so you can go sleep through the night and be confident in the morning that it's still activated. You can still get texts and easily unlock it if you need to use your phone.
The dim lighting comes in handy because I personally like to have it just right since I prefer a dark room to sleep in.
The flashlight I didn't think I would use, but it is helpful to my surprise without having to turn on my lamp to navigate my room.
Lastily, I didn't think I would use the music feature for my alarm tone, but I sometimes sleep like the dead and having a loud, but subtle song to wake me completely replaces the sudden and annoying alarms sounds I am use to. And of course you can edit your rings and assign them to different days and times, etc.
I haven't been late since.

Ok 4 all of u who are thick--1--leave your phon charging at nite--2--needs 2 b loud 2 wake u up or u will b complaning it didn't --3--the iPhone haz 2 charge everyday anyhow unless your gay and don't use it or have any freinds -- this is a nice app it duz the job just fine so if you need a wake up call this is the app 4 you and you can set the alarm and put the iPhone 2 sleep if u won't u don't need the clock on when your asleep unless u sleep with your eyes open u freecks .

I've read quite a few times on reviews for various apps, not just this one, about peoples problems with apps not loading or crashing. I was given a very simple piece of advice from the Apple store the day I got my 3GS - switch your phone off then back on at least once a day, and after you install an app. Following this has allowed me NEVER to experience problems with ANY app. Can't understand why so many expect their iPhone/Touch to run constantly without resetting it every day. Treat it like a mini computer ffs!! This app is great - wakes me up with my own music and only cost 59p. GREAT!!! 

Since Night Stand turned into a POS (I suggest you never, ever update these clock apps) - I believe developers kill 'em on purpose every year or so!
This is a great night stand alarm app - they have a very good free version too but you probably won't mind paying a buck to use your own music as the alarm. the colors are okay, haven't even tried the flashlight yet.
Knowing what I know now - wouldn't have bothered with the free version - this one is well worth the $1.

Wanted to let others know two things.
First - this is a great little application that does just what I wanted - a clock with the option of an alarm that plays music from my iPhone.
Second - I did have a problem with the application when I first installed it but one email to the support department and it was fixed. I never expect software to be perfect but I am always thrilled when support is this good.

Honestly this is my favorite application on app store. It's unbeatably functional. Replaced my alarm clock and far surpasses the built-in iPhone alarm clock. Makes so much sense to have the screen giving you some functionality at night instead of just sitting there. Best thing about it is it's incredibly stylish desgin which fits and apple device perfectly and the simple icon on the screen. Can't praise this application enough. My whole family uses it. 6 stars!

I've had this app for a while now and it's never let me down once. Being able create several alarms with different settings is a nice touch. It does seem to use a lot of the battery but that's not an issue for me as I always charge my iPhone at night. The numbers are nice and clear and I like the fact you can fade the screen easily enough. I would recommend this app to anyone. Not much else you can do to improve it.

Ignore reveiws about power running out in the night etc - of course it will the app is running all night and it does warn you!!!
This app is pretty damn good, slick, robust, and just pretty nice adding another great use to the iPod for 59p! My only notes to the developers are:
a) It seems once you have selected a tune to add to the alarm playlist, you cannot remove it again???
b) The built in sounds are aweful - almost as if designed to temp you to buy the full thing so you can use music... please make some good alarms!
c) Some more styles would be nice - the nightstand app has a bunch of awesome looking clocks, please update :)
d) Clock won't rotate upside down - means you can't have it portrait style with power chord plugged in.
If it weren't for these minor niggles it would be 5* all the way!

So far this is the only alarm clock app that I've tried that actually does what it says, works well, AND reliably goes off even when the phone is on sleep mode. There's just one little feature it's missing that would make it perfect, and that would be the ability to choose to fade the music in for the alarm so it starts out softly before getting louder. If this is added, I would love it absolutely. Oh, and a color wheel for the digital clock display (like Alarm Clock Deluxe has) would be nice, too.

This was definately worth 59p however there are a few things that would make this application even better. 1) A fade in option as waking up to loud music isn't very nice in the morning. 2) random play on the playlist so that you don't wake up to the same music twice. 3) the ability to delete songs off the alarm playlist when you have a long chain of songs to play through, the only way to do it now is by deleting the whole alarm and starting over again. 4) a few new themes for the actual alarm clock wouldn't go a miss either ;-)

Works great, love the classic alarm clock sound is great. Only problem is it is very bright, even dimmed. So beware if you like dark rooms when you sleep don't leave it on. Alarm will work locked too so not a problem but then you don't know what time it is. I think Kingston sells a charger that holds the phone like a clock and has a free app. I have 3 chargers so didn't bother. I really like setting several days for the same time.

Good app. Simple to set up, simple to use, very effective. For the attention of anyone who had the same problem as I did, however, when the app was updated it appeared to lose connection with the songs I had set up as alarm sounds, so although the app was working the alarm did not sound (silent alarm clock - not good). On inspection, the song titles were greyed out on the entry page, so I re-entered them all. Now it works again.

Excellent app! One thing missing.

This is a great app, there is just one thing missing, the ability to randomise the sound track that you wake up 2. If you were able to select random song to wake to then this would get 10 stars and be alot more profitable as I would pay considerable money! Bose (best sound) however don't do a docking station with alarm, add this feature please, please, please (if you can that is) other than that excellent work, well done!!! And as for crashing, I have not experienced it at all.

Nice app and great updates to the previous version. My only little issue with this is, when you leave this app on all night, it tends to drain the battery life by 20-25% when not plugged in (speaking from a brand new iphone). Sometimes I even tuck the phone under my pillow when in bed so having it plugged in would be annoying. I still use the basic clock app that came with the iphone and that seems to work flawless, but no mp3 selections. Now if this app was built like that, I'd totally ditch it or the other around like having the clock use mp3s instead of ringtones. But with any big apps on overnight, I can understand the fact that it'll drain the battery either way. Hopefully there will be some advance programming to fix this in the future. Great app none the less.

So much better waking up to your favorite song. Shuffle would be a nice feature but no biggie, just have to change the song each night.
