finally - an iPhone app to remotely control all of my PC programs.
For example - anyone that hooks up their PC to a TV, this is ideal - I can sit back and control my media center, player etc - whatever program you like, it's customisable !
You can even move the mouse around the screen simply by dragging your finger around on your iPhone screen.
I saw some silly comment about it using bluetooth - rubbish, it runs on your wifi and works seemlessly.

This application works great it really does. However you have to pay 25$ for the server application, which seems kinda expensive for this type of software. To the maker, perhaps have a stripped down version that will only work for ipod touch/iphone owners and have it be less expensive. Your software seems to support alot of remotes which is great, but a bit expensive.
The actual program when it works is very good, allows me to control my computer flawlessly

I don't have a DVD player or any games or a stereo so when I want to watch anything I plug my laptop into my tv and it becomes my media player/stereo system ( I do have surroend sound). With this app I have now resolved the only thing that was still bothering me about the whole setup. The ability to control, pause, forward, etc the whole thing without getting of my sofa. I am extremely hasppy with this especially the mousepad. Thats just genius.
It's very easy to set up ( in fact I'm stunned at how easy it is considering what it does) and the support is great should you need it.
Highly recommended.

Combined with the software on my pc "intelliremote" I now have full control of my films/music from anywhere in my house or garden.
Watching films on the main tv meant I had to bring the wireless keyboard and mouse through, not now, I just use my iphone.
I have speakers in the garden attached to my media center and now I can control it outside with my iphone.
Simple and effective

I bought the full version this week and everything has worked perfectly. Connecting was simple, as well as switching applications and input switches (remote, mouse, keyboard). I use this for mediaportal mostly and I have not had a problem. There are plenty of buttons that handle any function. Also, there is no spyware! My only issue is I don't like that I have to reopen the app if I put my phone to sleep. If would be nice if the remote was still there when I unlock the screen. Other than that, fantastic app! Update 9/17: it's good to see the app stays open or reopens on it's own now. New request though, I love the large buttons on landscape mode, but would prefer to have those large buttons for portrait mode as well.

I am now using my Ipod Touch to control Windows Media Center and a number of other programs. It works flawlessly for me, and being able to issue remote commands through my home network eliminates the need for line of sight or proximity to devices. Intelliremote adds another dimension to remote control--without the need to go out and buy an expensive remote with a screen. Well worth the money, in my opinion.

This app is by far the best app on my phone. I purchased a infrared blaster for my PC and now it controls all my home theater devices (dish network, yamaha a/v receiver, xbox 360, etc). From what I can tell all the bad reviews are from improper setup. Hit mellowares forum boards. They answer all setup questions. Mine installed with little to no help!!!! Can't wait till the app allows you to customize button images and layout!!!!!

This is the best ever remote app I have used. There is basically NO latency between key presses and everything works so well. And it can even use your iPhone to act as a mouse or keyboard for the PC, and that works really well too. I 100% recommend this to anyone who is looking for this kind of solution. And for anyone who is complaining about the trial version, why not donate and get the full version? The developer deserves it and you pay far less than the money you save with this software.

This is a GREAT application that works exactly as advertised. I'd been eyeing the server software for a while now and this is the app that made it (the server software) worth buying. Being able to control all the media software players (and more!) on my Windows Media Server from my iPhone is pure joy! Good job and thanks!! 8/11/2009 update: and let me add that support from the developer SUPERB! He constantly adds new profiles so that the number of supported applications continue to grow. And if an existing profile needs tweaking, he provides plenty of assistance.

At first, I was not that impressed with Intelliremote/Intelliphone. However, as I read more and more through the instructions, and played with the options, I realized the awesome potential this app has for home theater systems. There is a tiny learning curve, but once you make a pass through the manual, it is not hard to understand. I was dumbstruck when I realized how much potential this app has. I can now control my PC running SageTV as well as all of my IR stereo equipment, having paired it with a USB-UIRT. For those curious about this app: Do your homework and you will see it is an amazing application. I can't wait to see how this program will evolve. No, you can't modify the layout on the iPhone's screen, but the landscape mode makes up for that shortcoming, and I am sure this will be added in some future version. It's a great app that has replaced my Logitech Harmony remote. It has encouraged me to look into other home automation ideas. Bravo to the developers!

I actually bought the PC software to control a Home Theater PC running xbmc. I was a little weary of the $24 price tag but I emailed melloware and he assured me it work work fine with the model remote I had. After I installed it, I was up and running in about 2-3 minutes. I didn’t need to do any programming to get my remote to work. So then I downloaded the app (cuz I figured I paid for it). The app is awesome; I have full control of the pc using a mousepad, keyboard or remote. And, not that I need to, but if I wanted to, customizing the remote is simple. Every key on the app is labeled and on the PC end, you can change those keys to do whatever you want. At first I couldn’t get the app to match up with my pc, but a simple search on the developer’s site forum had very simple instructions.
Pros:
- Easy Setup
- Full control
- Great support site
- The developer replied to my emails in a few hours each time I had a question. That kind of customer service is hard to come by.
Cons:
- Price (I would have probably not hesitated to buy with a $15-$20 price tag. That extra few bucks almost tipped the scale.
Summary: although a little a little pricy, well worth it (if of course you will use the features). Works with little setup and comes with great customer support from the developer.

If you are a member of the intelliremote community (and if you are an HTPC nut, you should be) then this app is a MUST! Being a longtime member of the HTPC community I love this app and Melloware is one of the best/most attentive developers I have ever met. The app still needs some work (as all apps do) but this app is the ONLY real solution for controlling your PC using you iPhone/touch. Plus the developer himself deserves 5 stars! If you are not a member of the intelliremote community or you are not interested in joining the community then DON'T download this app because you will just get upset that it doesn't work the way you want and/or really technically isn't "free" and you will give it a bad review which it doesn't deserve.

One of the MOST useful apps for your htpc. The ability to tweak every aspect of the server is amazing. The keyboard and virtual mouse was an ingenious idea for a remote. I was searchng high and low for this, thank you. **side note** the monkeys complaining this software doesn't work are ignorant to how a computer works. If you can't figure this program out, go to the website, visit the forums and READ!

This is an incredible app, if you read the instructions and FOLLOW them. If you can assemble one of those kit desks, you can run this.
The software for the computer side is $25, but if you have to use several different programs, like VLC for DVD, iTunes for music, etc. There is a trial version available to test it out. The best part, for me, is the fact you can control the mouse or keyboard with this app, as well as change profiles on the iPhone. Just click the icon in the lower left. A great buy for computer control, if you give it a chance, and read before giving up. Oh, and did I mention that it has cusomizable buttons? You can assign scripts, run a new app, move the mouse, or the default button push.
The average computer user, who knows what patience is, can use this.

This is the perfect program! The one I have been looking for! I recently purchased a new computer and got a TV tuner and was using Media Center to record and watch TV. However I didn't have a remote! God all that having to get up and click and sit back down was wearing me thin! So I went to look for a remote that would work with my computer! Needless to say a good one is like $80!!! Then I heard about Intelliremote and thank god I looked into it! Yes you have to purchase the $24 PC version for it to fully work! However I would rather use my Iphone and just spend $24 ... than go spend $100 on an actual remote that isn't as easy to use! I recommend this app to anyone who is serious about controling their computer and needing the best option out there!

If you don’t understand what you have downloaded, you have downloaded an intelligent remote control *client* for your iPhone.
What is an "intelligent remote control"?

None of the above have the capabilities of this software. This provides full control over your HTPC (or whatever PC).
For this system, you have to buy the server piece to run on your PC for $24. Do the math.
I just paid $24 for the server and spent 10 minutes playing with this software on my desktop machine. It was immediately obvious that I don't need the stupid "air mouse" to run my HTPC anymore. The MCE remote is gone. This will be in my living room tomorrow.
There are some issues if you don't pay the $24. The free download for the server does not work (I will be ranting about this on the Melloware site). I took a risk and paid the $24. My experience with the paid version (again, do the math) is exactly what I was looking for in a remote for my HTPC.

So... ive been recently looking into buying a fully touchscreen automated media center for my new house... something that i can walk into the living room... tap, slide and display, and have full access to my movies, music, and practically anything else i assign, (Room lights)
And this is the best thing ive come across. since i already have a touchscreen device (iPhone) why should i have to get another one? this program does it all... since i have my PC hooked up to my 40" HDTV, i have movies and music (with visualization) as soon as i walk into the room... as well as full touch screen mouse support and keyboard. Personally i think this app should have cost the 25$ instead of the client in order to keep all the "freebie noobs" 1starring it away. Regardless... its worth every penny.

The server running on your PC allows your iPhone/iPod Touch to control many aspects of your home electronics. In its simplest setup, it controls iTunes and any other media player you have installed and are using at the moment, all thru your home network.
You will need to get the free iphone/ipod app and sync/install it, and also d/l and install the 30-day shareware server to run on your pc. Once you've got the shareware and paid for it, you can control your media apps, and many home electronics.

BUY IT!!! This is the best app that i have come across. You get to try it before you buy (the PC Server application) and it is COMPLETLY customizable. You are able to make ANY button perform ANY mouse move or keystroke. I have it set up on PC that is connected by my TV (as a monitor) and I run the entire thing with the iphone. Close a window, open a program, shutdown windows: all with one button. It also accepts script events which makes it that much more customizable. This program rocks my world. I LOVE it. WELL WORTH THE MONEY!!!

Intelliremote is an iPhone interface to an existing piece of software. People complaining about the $24 server price simply didn't read anything at all before downloading. To those people, did you really exepct the iPhone to be a full featured remote, even though it has no IR transmitter? Please. I use this to control my Vista Media Center connected to my projector for my backyard theater. Awesome. Was actually in the middle of coding my own, and Intelliremote goes waaaaay beyond what I was even trying to do. Buy it. You will likey. I guarantee.
