The Perfect App By: Greg Bachand - Feb 19, 2009 Version: 2.0 Everything worked as advertised: Facebook update, Google calendar, memos to self, groups, text messages to anyone in my iphone contact list ( I have over a thousand) the works. Transcription, in my case, was flawless. I signed up for the 12.95 plan and it's going to change the way I do everything. I posted a question on one of their forums and got an almost instant response from Brooke, their forum monitor. Take the plunge. You won't be sorry.
Push to Talk to anyone... By: JimBrown - Feb 18, 2009 Version: 2.0 I subscribe to Jott ($3.95 plan) to send quick text messages to my family while driving using the call-in number. I've looked a push-to-talk solution for my family, but all the phone companies required me to get specific phones and specific plans... This app looks promising in that I can push to talk from my iPhone and I don't have to get everyone on "special plans". I'll update my review after using it for a little bit more.
Use it, love it, keep it. By: K2YYC - 21-Feb-2009 Version: 2.0 I use this to keep track of all kinds of lists, schedule calendar items, send text messages and emails. Have been extremely happy with it so far and reckon it's only going to better. Those who complain about the paid service need to take a pill. How do you expect to get quality apps and support if everything is free? If you don't want to spend a few bucks a month -- then go elsewhere to moan about it.

Update gets 5 stars from me!! By: Steve the Painter - Sep 20, 2009 Version: 3.0 Wow! Thank you so much. I have been waiting for this new update for a long time. The jott team has really listened to us. I couldn't be happier. • I voice record my todo lists and reminders and whamo.... They come back to me perfectly typed out. • I voice recorded a 15 second long email and sure enough it was typed and sent perfect.word for word. • We now have a delete button to cleanup the old items on a list. Works great. Again Jott team thank you so much I will be using this app everyday. Steve..........

As Advertised By: snavedog - Jun 14, 2009 Version: 2.0 This is a great app that does exactly what it is supposed to do very well. I've barely tapped all of the features, but find the basic reminder system is extremely useful. It's perfect for GTD adherents. Jott also offers very responsive customer support - I sent a request once and got a very friendly note in less than 2 hours that resolved the issue immediately. Unfortunately, the app is being slammed by a bunch of idiots giving it one star in an attempt to drive the user rating down because they don't like the concept of a company charging money for its products ("capitalists! eh gads!!"). Ignore that junk - it's just commercial disparagement that Apple should stop. Jott a great product that is completely worth the trivial amount the company charges for it.
Love this app - don't believe the haters By: GKTw415 - Jun 12, 2009 Version: 2.0 You'll notice the negative reviews are all freeloaders who have never used the service.
I love how it integrates with my google calendar. I can just say "lunch next Tuesday with john at 1pm" and boom it's in my calendar! You don't even have to use the app for this, I use their call in number to schedule appointments in my calendar from my headset while I'm driving.
This service is worth MUCH more to me than the $3.95/month I'm paying!
Try it!
best thing since sliced bread By: gvSurf - May 27, 2009 Version: 2.0 I can't figure all the negative reviews, and I hope Jott stays around for a long time to come. And no, neither I nor any of my relatives or friends work for Jott, and I don't owe them any money. I don't try to use Jott for a list-manager, or anything else besides what it does best -- take voice messages from phone or from the Jott app and put it where I want it -- an e-mail reminder; Outlook calendar item; ToodleDo task. It's truly an elegant thing of beauty for those functions. Also, it's a cool way to send a quick e-mail while you're on the road. Once it has your contact list, it's very good at recognizing names from the list. The poor guys doing the message editing must get some good laughs from my messages, but the service mostly does a good job of transcription -- good enough for what I want. I tried ReQall, but it basically s*cked. Jott will keep getting my $3.95 a month -- a small price to pay for a whole lot of convenience...
Needs one-tap recording By: GumbyHoo - Mar 17, 2009 Version: 2.0 The service works great and is worth the money BUT this app is seriously hindered by the levels of clicking required to record your voice.
Voice memos are the task that users need to do quickly and easily. All other tasks involve reading so clearly they don't need the same convenience.
The app should open straight to the recording screen and should have the option there to click into your lists and other options.
So update the interface and keep up the good work!

Fixes the number 1 problem with version 1 By: kGlow - Mar 4, 2009 Version: 2.0 I would have given this app 5 stars but I just haven't used it enough to give it a perfect rating yet. The number 1 problem with the old app is that it did not send an email out of a jott originating on the iPhone. Since I subscribe to Merlin Mann's "Inbox Zero" + David Allen's GTD philosophy, sending things to my email inbox is a great way to do input collection and to force me to, then, do input processing. So, not having that feature in 1.0 meant I did not use the app (which caused me headaches since I am on the road in a rural area of central PA all the time = no cell signal). Now, this is the #1 non-Apple app I use on my iPhone! It works quickly (press Home button, press Jott app icon, press "New Jott," press "Voice Jott" and start talking. That is so much better than calling in. Thanks, Jott, for listening to input and for having such a great service! Have to write this rant: For those giving the app a bad rating b/c of the monthly fee, STOP! If you don't use or don't plan to use jott, then don't get this app. Jott is, without a doubt, the best way to get a voice note from your mouth to your email inbox (while you are out "in the wild" without a computer) without having to do anything but speak and punch a button or two. It is worth 2-3 times what they charge if you need this kind of service. If you don't need this kind of service, then get some other kind of app; don't bash this one. You are causing the rating to be misleading for those of us that use Jott and those of "them" that should be using it.
Indispensable Tool for Jott subscribers and a great improvement! By: Jott Subscriber - Feb 20, 2009 Version: 2.0 This app is an indispensable tool for Jott subscribers and extends an already great service. I do have one suggestion. The app should either have a customizable home page or permit users to customize the “All Lists” page even further by allowing links, contacts or groups to be added to the page. This will keep users from clicking though 2 or 3 screens to access the features they use most (which for me is google calendar and contacts).
Great app and Amazing Customer service By: higuy27 - Feb 19, 2009 Version: 2.0 I have been a jotter since it first started. I loved the app online and the iphone app. It is great for someone like me who tends to forget the little things all the time. I like the added feature on the iphone app that lets you jott straight to your google calendar and your contacts striaght from the app instead of calling. On another note, I was having some trouble with the google calendar link so I emailed jott and they responded very quickly and even if the person I was emailing couldn't figure out my problem, he referred me to someone who knew more about how to assist me and this person got back to me right away. They were so helpful!!! They have great customer service, I highly recommend this app if you tend to have a lot of things to remember.
One of my most used apps! By: lburrell - May 9, 2009 Version: 2.0 I use this app 10 times a day. I track everything from grocery lists to birthday cards and gift ideas to errands and books I want to read. It is so fast and so easy and i can post straight to Nozbe where i track all of my work projects. Worth every penny! The only thing I really miss from the last version is the clean up feature to remove all completed tasks in one swoop.
Ease of use..regular improvements By: BradleyCooks - Apr 29, 2009 Version: 2.0 Bravo Jott. Totally worth 4 a month. I'd like a rapid fire recorder on the phone service.
I like to take notes while driving, and @ a click of an app I can record and have my speeches, presentations, emails, and doctoral homework transcribed.
You have enhanced my life ever so greatly.
Download & subscribe to this app. Get to know it, and you will love it!!!
New Version is Great By: Lowndes - Feb 26, 2009 Version: 2.0 I use Jott multiple times each day to send myself notes. It's way easier than pulling over in my car and keying in the notes manually. Keep up the good work! Well worth the couple of bucks a month.
Bingo By: Classicalguitar - Feb 19, 2009 Version: 2.0 Fantastic. Just what I need. Now I can Jott without having to call. Keep up the good work.
Outstanding! By: BusyPersonLovesJott - Feb 19, 2009 Version: 2.0 Great upgrade. Lists are in alphabetical order now and layout is better. Love the new functions and think it will help me be more productive. Keep up the good work.

Standout upgrade By: Jragon - Feb 19, 2009 Version: 2.0 One of the most impressive upgrades I've ever seen on the App Store. Note that this requires a $4/month Jott subscription to use, but it's very much worth it.
