It's a great app. To all the people who are saying that these people have payed their debt to society already (*cough* Miley *cough*): Last time I checked, a felon is a felon, and they will always (legally) be a felon. Because you know who they are doesn't mean you should discriminate thin by any means, but if you have a daughter you know what I mean when I say I want to know where these people are so I can keep her safe. It's not made for targeting purposes, it's for protection.

This app isn't for witch hunting, it just let's you know if you live by a sex offender. There is nothing wrong with being aware of your surroundings and knowing of someone who had at least one major laps of judgement. Anyone who says this app is praying on peoples fears isn't a parent (or at least a good one). I can't imagine ANY parent who wouldn't want to know if a sex offender lived close by. Take simple steps to educate yourself about who lives by you.

Never has crashed for me, the only problem I have had was due to how many times a day people wanted to see it and the free version only allows so many uses per day. I have used to show many people I work with their neighborhood and their family's area in other states and cities. I live in tn and it has work for me here and in mo, fl, ga, ky, il, and la with no problems. Excellent free app. Thanks.

Free is great, but when you can get something for free as well as extremely useful, you are ahead of the game. This app is so informative because it helps you to be aware of those around you that could be of possible danger to you and yours. As a grandmother with young grandchildren, I was shocked to find out what was in my own backyard. The information and the photos only helped me to understand that the safety of those you care about cannot be taken for granted in this society today. Thanks for giving so much information in a free app, and I hope that everyone that needs the information seek this app for the awareness it can bring.

I really like this app. It is convient and easy to use. People who are complaining because it's not free just because the information is free on the net need to think about two things. 1) how about you try taking your laptop every where yougoto constantly look thus up at watchdog, or you could just quit being lazy and open up safarie on your iPhone and look it up. It's convient because it uses your gps. It's only a dollar. That's not too much to ask for. How about you spend some time coding a program. It's takes alot of time and resources. Thanks for the great app!

Offenders reveal themselves!

As a quick reference, this shows the first 10 and is completely up to date accurate with the FBI's online SOR. Don't listen to the nay sayers who obviously have an agenda to keep parents from getting this app. It's a free application, so it won't hurt anyone to check it out for themselves and compare to the official registry. I am a volunteer with law enforcement and the FBI, making people aware of dangers to their children, signs of abuse, how to stop abusers before they get their targets, and the legal measures they have against anyone who hurts their child. There is nothing illegal, immoral, or invasive about the registry or apps like this. If you sexually assault someone, especially a child, you lose all rights to privacy and a "normal" life. The best part of these reviews is seeing the obvious criminals spit fire and demand its removal. Thanks for letting people see it's working by scaring the crap out of you and for revealing yourself! I'm a father of 2 girls and I'd much rather know of a potential risk, as opposed to remaining ignorant and put my children in harms way. It is my duty to protect my family so sorry if you think it's an invasion of privacy, I believe the offenders have lost their right to privacy. Besides, if you do something that you want to hide it's likely you shouldn't have done it at all. I do believe people can change but my family and their safety come first. Thanks for the app.

Regardless of what I think of sex offender registries existing in the first place, the fact is they do, so this app really isn't a big deal one way or another. It makes finding this information more convenient, perhaps, but anyone with a regular Internet connection has this info at their child saving fingertips. That said, out of curiosity, what does it mean when it says "No designation applied"? Anyone know? And remember, folks, don't forget to THINK OF THE CHILDREN.

There shouldn't be a view limit, we should be aloud to view the offenders in this app as many times as we want. I also don't agree that we could only view 10 offenders. There could be more than 10 of them in the area that we are searching. It is great that their picture is in here that way we know what they look like. ANY OFFENDERS READING THIS, WE KNOW WHAT U LOOK LIKEAND WHERE U LIVE TOO

Like the fact that it includes the photo of the "offender." However, I'd like to see more details regarding their crime. Everyone, stop complaining about having to pay for the expanded version of this app. I don't know why people expect developers just to give apps away. If you thinks it might be of value.... Make a stink'n .99 cent contribution. That's a small price to pay!!! Most of us spend more than that for a cup of coffee. Kudos to the developer. Has potential to be even better.

This is supposed to be a review if how app works. Sex offender registries are posted online by sheriffs and other law enforcement and private sources across US. These guys just putting it on your iPhone. Second, whether a person actually lives @ the address has NOTHING to do with this app. Sex offenders register @ nonexistant homes, vacant bldgs, relatives' homes....all the time. The big address around us they use is the temporary work force hiring agency nearby, so it looks like dozens of them live @ that address. I imagine the sex offenders are against this, but guess what, that's the law folks, shoulda thought of that first.

Why is everybody complaining about the full version not being free? $1 to $2 is really going to put a dent in your wallet? Chances are if you own a iPhone and pay the bill month to month this Is a minor inconvience. This app is not going to prevent you from being attacked. No one is going to pull out their iPhone to check if there are registered offender lurking. This app is more like a novelty. Aren't most of the apps? Use the Internet If you are so convered instead how sitting on the cough with iPhone and complaining.

They're charging for the time it took to bring the data to your iPhone. It is public information and had to come from somewhere, so check your state police or similair government agency website. It's all free there.

I actually know one of the sex offenders! Hes my friends brother! Holy effing shizz! No wonder why i always feel uncomfortable around him! Hes always trying to hit on me and my sister and hes 31!! Thanks for this app! 5 stars!
