Reviews:
Customer service the best By: jjaais - Jan 12, 2009 Version: 4.4.3 A little tricky to sync at first install. Desktop application and iphone integration really cool. Couldn't wait to pay for the desktop program after seeing the fucntionality and can't believe this app is free. Super quick with answers to questions. even on a weekend. Someone can steal the iphone or you can drop it in a puddle and the data will be gone so I think concerns of data loss should be handled with the sync to desk top or lap top. Great app.
Designing security By: sonofido - Nov 25, 2008 Version: 4.4.1 Sanford Selznick continues to do an exquisite job with PW. This app, along with it's desktop equivalent, is a dream tool for anyone who juggles multiple passwords in a variety of environments and applications (emm... Find me the blissful reader if this review who doesn't!). It is a smart application with powerful encryption. Probably the best of it's type. The desktop version is well worth the price, and the iPhone app is an incredible bargain!
Great App. Strong security. Worth downloading. By: tzm - Nov 24, 2008 Version: 4.4.0 Finally Password Wallet for the iPhone! The desktop version is great. This iPhone app is a welcome addition. Easy to see your passwords and very secure. Automatically locks after a minute or so. As with all these types of programs and like its competition, Apple does not allow access to Safari so they have to run their own browser. Unfortunately, these Apps are limited to memory allocation by Apple so they sometimes quit out while surfing. One big plus with Password App is the developer. He gets back to you very quickly and offers real solutions. Perhaps the new 2.2 Apple update will be more kind to other browsers. In the meantime, I'm confident this program will keep improving! I highly recommend it. Five stars because not developer's fault for small amount of memory to work with.
What I've been waiting for! By: kakkoii_integra - Nov 24, 2008 Version: 4.4.1 I've been using the OSX version of PW for a while now, and love it. The auto-fill to web pages is great. I was waiting for an app for the iPhone that would sync- and here it is! Really easy to use and sync. One note- I had to do a little looking for instructions on setting up sync with my mac. The "manual" on the web page is rather thin and totally skips this part. In the OSX app, go to help and it will direct you to a different manual online that is actually helpful. Would be nice if this were linked directly from the homepage. No issues with the app, though!
The best around and if you are a MAC user - even better. By: Jerry in CO - Nov 24, 2008 Version: 4.4.5 I have been using PasswordWallet on my MAC for over 5 years. I use it every day - no lie - every day! Finally this is available on my ipod touch. Even if you don't have a mac to sync your desktop with this is so EASY to use and it takes you right to the website and enters your ID and PW with 1 touch. Fantastic! I used to use 1 or 2 passwords for all my sites (poor memory) now I can have secure passwords (unique for each site) and I only have to remember ONE.
If you use the desktop version, you'll love this! By: ambimb - Nov 18, 2008 Version: 4.4.0 Like so many of the other reviewers, I've relied for years on Password Wallet for all the little bits I need to remember and keep locked down. The desktop version works beautifully (esp. combined w/Quicksilver, which allows you to call it up w/a keystroke whenever you need a reminder for a password). Now we have the same beauty on the iPhone. I also used the Palm version, which worked great, too. Finally, the developer is lightning fast responsive and extremely helpful. You can't go wrong here!
Exceptional application that gets better without getting cluttered! By: CallSTAT.com - Oct 2, 2009 Version: 4.4.10 The Password Wallet developers do an outstanding job adding new enhancements to an already great product without interfering with the product's top notch functionality and ease of use. This app accommodates the way you work, without forcing you into pre-defined categories! I store everything in PasswordWallet - Bank accounts, credit cards, social security #, phone PINs, software registrations, garage door codes, passwords, website logins and more! It's wonderful to know that the data is well secured even if my phone gets lost or stolen. The built-in browser works great and the app also integrates well with Safari if you prefer to use the standard browser! This is by far best password app I've found and I've tried a bunch!
Very Responsive Developer Makes a Great App Even Better By: Bico do beija-flor - Oct 2, 2009 Version: 4.4.10 This is a great app and one of the more reasonably priced solutions for iPhone plus desktop access to encrypted passwords. If you want access on both your iphone and desktop, make sure you look at both apps before putting down your money. The developer is very responsive and quick. When I reported an issue with the index the developer got right back to me and fixed it. Impressed with the response I asked whether he planned to bring to the iPhone app a nice feature on the desktop that makes it easier to distinguish similar characters in passwords (o0OlI1) he ended up adding that into the update. The whole process happened in one day, if I recall correctly. By far the longest delay was waiting for Apple to make the update that he submitted available on the store. Buy this app, suppport this developer, protect your data. You won't be sorry.
Problems? Turn off restrictions. By: Mike*W - 25-Aug-2009 Version: 4.4.7 I love PasswordWallet. I like that it works with Tiger. After an absence, I'm glad to have it back. One day, PW up and disappeared. Apparently, Apple, or someone, unnecessarily or accidently upped the content rating to 17+. When I went to Settings/General/Restrictions and used Disable Restrictions it came back. If you have restrictions on, set the Apps field to All. I had other apps disappear and come back to life this way. (Sounds easy now, but it took some time to figure out.) The problem is not PW. I have passed this solution on to the developer. He was very responsive throughout. Great software, great support.
Excellent Product & Support By: DrgnMastr - 22-Nov-2008 Version: 4.4.0 I have been using Password Wallet on my desktop since the very first release, and the first release for Palm. It does what it is supposed to perfectly, allowing me a secure location for critical (and very private) information. When I recently purchased an iPod Touch, PasswordWallet didn't exist for it yet, but there was an elegant hack. With the release of the iPhone application, once again it became the ideal solution. I must commend Selznick for their excellent responsiveness to support questions, as they have been doing for years now. My hat's off for an excellent product and excellent support! Well done!

Great app By: rbartram - Jun 18, 2009 Version: 4.4.6 This is one of those apps that I use every day. New users should not confuse this app with a crypto program like PGP. The purpose of app is the storage of passwords, typically web passwords, combined with convenient recall and autofill. The ease of use allows users to employ unique, complex passwords for every site rather than easy to remember ones that are vulnerable to cracking.
I've used this app in various incarnations for years and strongly recommend it.
excellent app for password protection By: Scotttee - Jun 10, 2009 Version: 4.4.6 I have been using this application on my desktop for years and it has always performed perfectly and has come to my rescue more times than I can count. I can go to and log in to password protected accounts with the click of a button. The developer has supplied updates on a regular basis and in my opinion has at this time a very mature and dependable application, well worth the price. I very strongly recommend this over anything else currently available for both the iPhone and your desktop or laptop.
Wonderful companion to desktop version By: His Impishness - Apr 5, 2009 Version: 4.4.5 I've used Password Wallet for years on my desktop, and was thrilled when a version was written for the iPhone. I didn't have Wi-Fi on my desktop then, so I couldn't use it. I just added Wi-Fi, and one of the first apps I installed afterwards was PW. Now my 400+ passwords are with me wherever I go, so I can access all the websites requiring passwords from my iPhone. Password Wallet is the standard for password management. Get it for you desktop as well, and you'll have secure access to passwords, info, hardware serial numbers, and all kinds of information about your computing life. Highly recommended. NB: To use this app with the desktop version you must have a wireless connection with your computer. Apple hasn't made it clear enough, IMHO, that data files from third parties must sync via Wi-Fi: Apple does not allow it through the iPhone's dock.
Fine By: PragueInSpring - Mar 22, 2009 Version: 4.4.5 One reviewer stated a primary location for our many passwords ought to be a computer. The advice is patently absurd, given the constantly evolving hackers and their tricks across the Internet. Not even 512 bit encryption will hold the very best at bay soon if not already.
The best is on paper, a journal or scrap that won't be haphazardly lost. Paper that won't leave your home- at least in a desk or table drawer- at best in a safe and anything in between. This way you control where your online life lays.
But in a pinch this app is great for those obscure logins to that website you visited once and then forgot and then realize it's necessary to go back to for one reason or another.
Thanks developers! It's easy, intuitive, design helps too!
Great app, bad users By: gjsmo - Mar 21, 2009 Version: 4.4.5 The app is great. And everybody's complaints can be resolved with less than no thinking.
Forgetting the master password: if it had none then it would be the equivalent of what I used to do - put all my passwords in Notes. No security there, and no app needed - but
we WANT security.
App crashing/being able to delete all files without master password: your iPod shouldn't be your primary "wallet". Your computer should be - preferably one in a safe place. Maybe deletion isn't that good of an idea, but the same thing still applies.
So if you think this app is bad, you should listen to some classical music.
Great App, Excellent Support By: GSilver - Jan 3, 2009 Version: 4.4.2 I dowloaded the iPhone app and started using it, found it very helpful. But then I downloaded the shareware desktop but couldn't get the thing to sync. An email to the author, Sanford, brougt an immediate reply and after hits and misses the problem was solved. There are some areas that aren't quite as intuitive as they might be so I hope Sanford makes some of the synch instructions stupid proof ( I am referring to me ).
All in all, now that I understand the synch process I believe this will become one of my most valuable apps.
UPDATE - now that I have the sync working I liked this app well enough to pay $20.00 for it. I have spent more for a lot less. G Silver
Good start By: syamsul - 23-Nov-2008 Version: 4.4.1 I have been using PasswordWallet for years now to synchronise important encrypted information between my Mac and my Palm devices. The iPhone app version does not disappoint. Synchronization with the Mac version is fast and easy to do, without the need for internet access. The ability to automatically enter login information into the built-in web browser is also a big plus. If only this could be done with the default mobile Safari though.
Be Patient By: natashadarling - Dec 4, 2008 Version: 4.4.1 (Please, people, remember to restart your phone after downloading) I downloaded this app after many months of satisfaction with the desktop application. I found out after purchase that I could not use it without a wi-fi connection, and when I contacted the developer, his customer service response was quick and polite. I cannot use the app at all, so my investment was returned - however, I am still a fan of the software, and will patiently await another solution for my cellular network iPhone. For now, I will continue to synchronize my passwords using the safari bookmark system included with the desktop package. I rate 4 stars on general satisfaction with developer's product.
