Wow! By: mransmrsb - Feb 14, 2009 Version: 1.1.2 I have had my 1st ten. iPhone for a year now and this is the ONLY non-native app to make it onto my dock. I have only had it crash on me one time...when I tried adding an icon for someone I had already added.
The only improvement I cab think of is it would be nice to be able to use the pinching ability to show the icons as different sizes. With this, a pinch to the center of the screen would make all the icons smaller and a pinch from the center of the screen out would make all of the icons larger. This would make for quick scrolling at any icon size and would no longer necessitate the user to manually change the icon size under settings.
My two cents aside, bravo! PictureDialer is an app well done!
Better Than Voice Dial on iphone By: ImNotFake - Jan 28, 2009 Version: 1.1.2 I like this app, and with the update I like it even more. The way I use it, I set up about 20 of my most commonly called names. It's faster for me to call them thru this app than going through the phone contact list or favorites list. It's also more convenient than using the voice dial app I have.
It can be also used to access email and SMS, but I havent used it for that yet. I like that the designers have given options to change colors, frames and annimation of the icons. Iv'e been lucky and haven't lost any of my favorites to some software glitch that other reviewers have mentioned.
Very well done.
this is the app By: jozatan - Jun 13, 2009 Version: 1.6 worth $10+
guys give us the oprion to donate you some bucks please. you did an outstanding job.
this is my favorite application of all and i have around 150 apps installed on my iphone. i replaced my ipod in the bottom bar with your app.
suggestions
1. do not change the default black background color to white as somebody suggested above me. it wil waste the battery faster and we all know how bad battery life is already. if somebody needs to change it he/she has that option.
2. if a setting could be added so users to have the option to replace the original favorites in the apple dialer with yours will be awesome.
3. give us the option to choose from different icons for all contacts without a photo.
4. no need of triple tap. list all options for double and triple under double tap.
thank you
jozatan
Pretty Cool By: Venusmuppet - Apr 8, 2009 Version: 1.1.2 I do love things about this app. like the fun borders, picture size selection and that it scrolls down as much as you would like. It does load up slow, bummer and I do wish it had fun backgrounds outside of the colors which feel a bit much after a while. Maybe more than just your brick wall and nature .... although don't leave them out, maybe Flowers, Anime, Retro and a few other styles would be fab!! I do love the hip little icon by the photo and I love the double tap gets you to a cell number or call home. Pretty great. I bought one and it lacks so much. Maybe you can add some backgrounds on the next upload!
Very Useful! By: msiler - Dec 21, 2008 Version: 1.1.2 This is a great little App. Loads quickly and is easy to set up. Intuitive and fast to get started using immediately. It's a little unstable and crashes a bit but for the most part it is a VERY useful app. Allows quick access to your most frequently used contacts and ALL their contact info: 1 tap = call a preset number, 2 taps = shows all call info (home, cell, work etc.), 3 taps and you have instant access to e-mail and sms info. I can see this becoming my most used app very quickly. Fix those stability issues and you have a FANTASTIC Application. Nice Job!
nice features! but pleeze add .... By: Mom's favorite - Oct 19, 2008 Version: 1.0 My Mom has my old iphone. She has low vision and loves the big screen. I put this app on for her and she loves it. I had used a similiar app and changed to this because with Picture Dialer app you can have fewer photos that are larger. one neat feature I would love is a way to tap and hear the name of the contact, for people like my Mom with low vision. She loves it and finds it the easiest way to get in touch with friends and family. Thanks for the great app! It is hands down my favorite one! The only reason 4 stars instead of 5 is because I am hoping to have an update with audio.
A Winner!!! By: superbreeder - Oct 17, 2008 Version: 1.5 This app really rocks and being free, it is a real steal!! I like using the photos and really appreciate the double touch so I can call other associated numbers. The only thing you need to be aware of is if you change the prefs to 3 pictures across or more, you have to go out of the program and re-select it to see pictures on the selected format. Not a real problem for a free app. Thanks for a great program.
Awesome start... By: Jon_Quixote - Oct 16, 2008 Version: 1.0 This is perfect for us visual types who don't prefer lists. I like being able to select from different picture frames and I love the animations. I also like that it pulls my contacts and their photos right from my existing contact list rather than recreating functionality like so many other apps do. Some suggestions: -The first thing that struck me was that the icon is somewhat plain. A bit of color wouldn't hurt. -The phone badges are handy for distinguishing between mobile, work, etc, but the "Black on White" looks like a paper cutout against full color photos of my contacts and a black background. Yes, I can select "White on Black" in the settings, but maybe it could automatically make the adjustment when I pick a background? And what about badges with transparent instead of solid color backgrounds? -The two and three-tap menus should be combined into one menu for simplicity and speed of access. Don't worry about including all the numbers or all the e-mail addresses of a contact, that's why we already have a full-featured contact app built right into the iPhone. -Finally, and most importantly, I think we need another way of accessing those two and three-tap menus other than multiple taps. The delay this causes between tapping a contact and dialing their number is substantial enough that it's annoying. A two-fingered tap perhaps? This is multitouch, after all. Overall, a great start guys. With a few minor tweaks and improvements it could be an awesome hit. Keep it up!
Does what it says and does it great! By: Draenick - 07-Nov-2008 Version: 1.1 Absolutely loving the app! But I have a few suggestions that would make it the best :)
1. Firstly I think you should get rid of the bar on the bottom with favourites and settings, it wastes too much space on the screen and a better option would be one of those 'i' icons in the corner.
2. This is just a preference but Id like if of you got rid of the dialer in the face on the icon and just keep the outline of the person, it would look alot better and cleaner.
Very good By: Yodudeiii - 30-Nov-2008 Version: 1.1.1 Works well would be nice if ya could move favs around like on home screen etc otherwise wiked
Excellent app, and excellent support By: Ade_okibetthisisnttaken - 17-Nov-2008 Version: 1.1 I thought this app was great, except that it kept crashing when I triple-tapped to send an SMS. So, I reported the problem, and now it's been fixed in an update! What more can you ask for than that?
Nice App Alround By: philby123 - 15-Nov-2008 Version: 1.1 For free this is very good, good control over interface and the only suggestion I could make and I am being piccy are the badges aren't as slick as the rest of the app, it complements the contacts app but isn't meant to replace it, excellent for your most used contacts.
Cool By: PistonStone - 06-Nov-2008 Version: 1.0 This is a great application, makes life very straight forward as you can see who u want to call! Goodbye boring phone book!!!!!
I recognise that face... By: Zemblance - 17-Oct-2008 Version: 1.0 Groovy app. Now I need to get pictures of all my mates. BTW - is the guy on the top left Sagol 59 - my favourite rapper from Jerusalem? If not he must be a twin separated at birth...
Amazing By: himynameissam - 16-Oct-2008 Version: 1.0 This app is really really well made, there are lots of settings for animation, picture size. Only way it could be improved is by putting the settings section in the actual iPhone settings, so the app can be full screen.
Amazing!! By: GNRsweetchild - Aug 20, 2009 Version: 1.6.1 This app is the best of it's kind! You can make it anyway you like even with backgrounds from your own pictures. I'm definately upgrading to pro cause I don't really like ads. Its worth it!
it takes a bit to open that's it By: Rok4 - 31-Oct-2009 Version: 1.6.2 I love this app!!! the best one out there right now. good job.
great, simple, works as advertised By: thecyn_daylitehelp.com - Mar 22, 2009 Version: 1.1.2 much faster/safer than dialing from my iPhone's built in favorites list, where even though I have small fingers you have to hit the name row just right. This app gives me nice big pictures so I don't have to be so precise while driving, makes it safer than using the built-in Favorites list.
Best App Since Contact Flow! By: Hunter52007 - Mar 5, 2009 Version: 1.1.2 I love this app. Works great, fast, and very easy to use. Lots of features, and great animations.
