A shopping list. Simple. Easy. Free. Your most recent choices will be remembered to avoid future typing. When you start typing a new item, all previously used items will be searched. When you tap on one, it is added to the shopping list, when you swipe across it, it is permanently removed. If you want to edit an item in the shopping list, press and hold the item. Reviews:
This is a must By: Brentdavids - 04-Oct-2009 Version: 2.6.1 All I can say is this was brilliant and is even better now. As all the other reviewers have said a simple list app. No fancy whistles and widgets just a simple fully functioning list. If you want a shopping list or are into lists for anything this has to be the one. I have paid for apps that are nowhere near as good as this and they are left on page 10 of my iPhone. If this is what you get for nothing I cannot wait to buy an App off this guy. Only thing I would recommend is use it and play with it that's the only way you will get to realise how good it really is.
Mr By: Slack_Bladder - 01-Oct-2009 Version: 2.6.1 I love this app. I am a list man and have tried a majority of the other to do list ones but keep coming back to this due to its simplicity. If I were to give a suggestion on how to perhaps improve upon perfection then I would make it possible to change the font and the size of the font as the longer items don't fit as it doesn't change to horizontal view if turned. One of my fave 5 apps and I have all 11 pages filled. Cheers.
Just Great By: Paper Round Kid - 01-Oct-2009 Version: 2.6.1 This App is really simple to use, quick and functions just like a list should. Initially you have to write in the products, but then it remembers them, so that when you create your nxt list, you draw on your archive, which means you can be very personal about how you define the things you buy. I would say that it would be perfect if it automatically put things in Alphabetical order when you dragged things across to create the new list.
In constant use By: Gwilt - 09-Apr-2009 Version: 2.1.2 This is a really useful app, especially to some-one as absent-minded as me ! I love the fact it remembers stuff you've listed before so you can just select it from the menu instead of having to re-type it each time, and the fact that you can have more than one list running at a time (because let's face it, few people only ever shop in one place). The only thing that could improve it is being able to edit items in the menu. If I'd bought this I'd consider it money well spent, so I'm seriously impressed that it's free.
Great App for geeks who shop By: SaintW - Feb 12, 2009 Version: 2.1.2 Great, Simple to Use and it builds up the possible shopping items as you use it (it learns). Contrary to some comments YOU CAN DELETE items on the MASTER item list (if you spelled it wrong or don't want your mum to see what you buy at the Adult Store! ) - just swipe left to right on the item as per the normal delete facility on the iPhone - Doh! Only thing I would add is the ability to have multiple lists for the different stores I use Grocery, Book, Video etc...
Great and easy to use By: antoniot - Feb 9, 2009 Version: 2.1.2 Useful and simple to use. Entering a long list of items is very fast. Other apps slow down entering long lists because they require users to tap "New Item" repeatedly for each item. Also, a single tap crosses out an item from the list, while other apps force you to go to a properties page to cross out each and every item. PS: I've noticed people don't know how to delete from the saved items list, but all you have to do is tap on an item and a Remove button appears.
Excellent App! By: RellieT - 08-Nov-2009 Version: 2.7 I love this app, does everything it says it does, I can even change the background colour & names of my lists, by tapping & holding the title at the top! I noticed someone said that they couldn't delete items from the basic items list - this frustrated me too until I realised that I could actually delete the items by swiping over them. The only I'd change I'd like to see would be the the ability to send list to someone as a text message.
Great. Simple. Does the Job. By: JG in SJ - Feb 5, 2009 Version: 2.1.2 ShopShop has a nice easy UI, with just enough features for actual everyday use. For example, while you're at the store "knocking items off" your list, ShopShop handles deletion (actually "crossing off") as a simple swipe. Other more complicated apps require you to drilldown, click a button, etc. So tedious to do with a basket in one hand and your iPhone in the other hand. ShopShop displays a real insight into actual human behavior, rather than technology, so in that respect truly follows the iPhone User Interface philosophy. Shopping Lists are NOT "To Do" lists with dates, priorities, etc.-- ALL the other "List" and "To Do" apps (I tried about 8 and paid for 3) are way overkill for just simple shopping lists and other notes-to-self that you'd use slips of paper for and toss out when the task is done or item is acquired. Ironically enough, "Remember The Milk" is NOT very good for remembering the milk or other simple grocery lists. Note: other reviewers complained about inability to delete entries (you delete 'crossed off' entries with a simple touch of the Clear button), inability to delete items from the invisible 'remembered list' (you delete there with a swipe), and inability to scroll the main list (not so). Those complaints may have been bugs or limitations of earlier versions but not in the version I downloaded in Feb 2009. Perhaps these complaints reflect a weakness in the documentation causing "user error"; I myself didn't know about the Clear button until I visited the authors website.
Very useful application By: juju69 - 17-Feb-2009 Version: 2.1.2 Having tried various lists for shopping this is by far the most useful. Once you've entered an item you will never have to re-enter it again although it can be removed from the current list. It can also be deleted forever if it's only a once off purchase. Lists for different shops/people can be created which is pretty handy. Once you've got the items you can 'cross' them off your list. I really recomend this application.
Incredibly simple, incredibly useful. By: Filion - 9-Jul-2009 Version: 2.5.1 This is an app with a simple goal that manages to stay simple. You set your shopping list: quantities and the item's can be specified seperately. When you buy it, tap or swipe the name. The entry is not deleted, but it is struck through. All unstruck items appear as a red notification number on the app's icon. That's it. That's all. That's everything I need. The simplicity of design and goal focus makes it a five star app.

Possible addition??? By: RobMcPhee - 21-May-2009 Version: 1.2.3 I use this app almost daily, and for a lot more than just doing groceries... What I would like to see in the future, being that the primary use of this app is for shopping, is a price option, that is remembered like your lists are. For example, if I have bread on the list I can enter $1.49 beside it, thus allowing me to see if prices change as well as give me a total of what all itmes on that list are going to cost me when I get to the store.
Fix items on your list! By: Cole Jones - Jan 17, 2009 Version: 2.1 Simple interface. Easily clear lists adn stores multiple lists (which you can use for different stores). Many people have been complaining about not being able to remove an item from your permanent list after you add it. Here's an easy fix I found for that: add the item to your current shopping list that you want to change (if you made a typo) or delete (to replace it with another item). after its added to your list go to your list and hold it to modify it. modify the name to what you want it to be and then go back to the list. It will change that item on your permanent item list as well. This app is great and its free. There's some features its missing, like catagories and adding notes to your items. But you can get those for a few dollars from other apps if thats what you're looking for. If you just need a grocery list then this is good alternative to save money.
Great app! By: Toymom - 18-Nov-2009 Version: 2.7 Love this app, it remembers from before so I just have to tap to add to my list. But best of all I can make several different lists so when I go shopping for my elderly parents I can keep their items separate from mine. Only wish there was a master list preloaded so I didn't have to type "regular" items in even the first time... Lol, ok now I'm being lazy. Seriously thanks for making my busy life just a bit more organized and it's FREE!!
This is the BEST list app out there! Trust me, I've tried them all :) By: Jgirl42 - Jan 15, 2009 Version: 2.0.1 I found this app by accident, and I REALLY like it a lot! It is by far the best LIST app out there! And it's FREE wow! It's real user friendly, and I love how after you've made a basic list, that when you're making new ones, that you have those items stored in memory, so that you can make future lists that much quicker!!! The only updates that might be helpful in the future, is to be able to delete misspellings, and to be able to create "template" lists that you would create and then be able to use in the future. (INSTANT LIST) Right now I just basically made a "typical" grocery list, and then I cross off what I don't need, and the rest is always there. I also have used it to write down daily lists for Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, etc, and it contains the basics of the to do list for those particular days for my schedule. I REALLY like it a lot! (Also, it might be nice in the future (if possible) to have left and right arrows to help get to the other lists easier. Sometimes it's a little finicky. But all in all, it's great! And even though it's free, Nikolaj, you might want to include the word "LIST" in the icon name, because I was looking for a "list" or "to do" app, and I fell upon your shopshop app by accident. And I'm sure many other people would enjoy this app if they could find it. And as much as l love free stuff, you could charge 99c, and we'd still love it, and you'd be able to make more dreams come true :) Okay Nikolaj, thanks a bunch, and best wishes to you!
Superb! By: jedikitty - 6-Feb-2009 Version: 2.1.2 Works like a charm, very user-friendly app. First of all - zero ads!!! Gotta love that considering it is a free app. I used it several times during our shopping trips and loved it. The list can be easily updated, you swipe the items as you get them, and can add extra items at any time. No more paper lists makes it so environmentally friendly :) This is on of the very best apps in the store and I highly recommend it.
Excellent, bang on app for shopping list By: Waterloo Folk - 2-Feb-2009 Version: 2.1.2 A master list of previously entered items makes it very easy to create a shopping list. I tried many others and this is the one I recommend! Pros: You add items to your shopping list from a list of items you previous shopped. You can cross it out when done. The items will be returned back to the master list. Cons: It is too easy to erase an item. The functionality (swiping finger horizontally) was too hidden but easy to trigger by accident. Other than that, 5 star app!
Great App (v1.1.3) By: Critalsh Fralash - 24-Oct-2008 Version: 1.1.3 Some of the reviews, especially those visible on page 1 of the app page, are not up-to-date. This app does what it sets out to do with intentional simplicity and a nice UI. Sure other features could be added (like saving one or more of your own "standard" lists), but as it currently is, ShopShop is a great little app with an unbeatable price. Is the comment about "toast" really helpful? Anyway, the actual application icon (not the one shown on the iTunes app page which is not up-to-date either) now reads "bread" and not toast! Happy? I am! Thank you Mr Schumacher.
Awesome app By: Duwop01 - Jan 3, 2009 Version: 2.0 I love this app! I've been using it since the beginning! Love the new updates they are spot on. I would like to suggest being able to slide items off one list directly to another list. Sometimes I change my mind on where I'm gonna buy something ;) keep up the awesome work and please, please, please don't let it take forever to fix the crash bug on the next apple update. I nearly lost my mind! I tried to find a new app while I was waiting but they wernt as dummy proof and I went back to pen and paper = (
Perfectly Simple! By: jrweaver - Jan 2, 2009 Version: 2.0 If you're looking for a quick, easy to use, list application this is it! The only thing quicker would acutally be pen and paper, but ShopShop allows you to re-order your list so items appear in the order you shop for them at the store. It remembers items you previously added to the list which makes it quicker to add them in the future. The previous items can be deleted by simply swiping across them. If you have issues the developer is quick to respond. The only thing I would change on this app is possibly a more updated icon. All-in-all, the best list app available!!!
Great little simple shopping list application. By: rael42 - Dec 10, 2009 Version: 2.7 I had to give up another once-great application because it kept getting more and more bloated and finally added advertisements. It was refreshing to find a program that does just what I need which is one single shopping list that is simple to update and easy to use while at the store. I was going to comment that the icon was not as simple and elegant as I'd like to see on a "main page" application but it's growing on me and it certainly is nothing I'd remove stars for. Thanks for the wonderfully useful app!
