I originally had a couple of problems with this app but I am happy to say all of them have been fixed!The app works very well, has a functional web interface as well as FTP access which is nice for the more tech-savy.Snoop Stopper is an awesome feature and works very well. It's nice to be able to track the login attempts as well. To date no one who knows my iPod password (family members) have asked what that app is; with the false login it pretty much prevents you from having to explain what's in there.All-in-all a very good app, worth the money if you must keep files secure on your iPod or iPhone.Now only the icon needs a bit of work IMO.

I ran into a few problems using this app -
#1 - I had trouble getting my phone to wi-fi. My router needed to be set up as WPA instead of WEP. Just FYI. After I got my home wi-fi connected, the application was very easy to use and intuitive. I moved pictures using my PC and was instantly able to view them on my iPhone.
#2 - I had some video from a cell phone camera that was saved in the .3gpp format. I converted that to .mov file format and got sound but no image on my iPhone. I did searching on collect3 forums and there was no mention of this problem. I emailed the company and they responded with some useful info within an hour or so. GREAT SERVICE! It now works great and is one of my favorite apps. FYI - I used Quicktime Pro to "Export" to iPhone format (.m4v).
The slideshow feature is a big plus. I love the snoop-stopper feature. And the quick-hide feature could really come in handy.
Great app - 5 stars!

This app is worth every penny if you have pics or video you want to hide. Although I don't ask, I still have Ex's that send me pics. There is no need to get caught or in a fight about things you should not have if you have this app. Transferring over the web is AWESOME! The only thing this app needs now is to be able to transfer via blue tooth.Great job dev team. For the smart guys who use this app, they should never get caught!

I've been looking for something like this. My kids like to play games on my iPhone and I this is perfect, because it keeps them from accidentky viewing my most private pics and vids. I had already purchased the pic safe, and it is unfortunate that the newly released vid safe has the capability to secure both your vids and pix. So now what do I do with my pic safe? Great product I highly recommend it!

The best "image vault" app

I've tried three of the most popular "image vault" apps and this one stands head and shoulders above the rest. While most of these types of apps do what they are supposed to do, they make certain not to go out of their way to make it convenient. This one actually has a very good user interface, its speed is commendable, and the included video tutorials are a nice touch.
I'm quite happy with the batch import, though I think a batch export would help this app out considerably. I am pleased that it can protect videos filmed from an iPhone 3G S, but I wasn't aware of that limitation when I purchased the app since I only have the second-generation iPhone, the 3G. Still, I could import videos from my computer using FTP or Webdav, but I still feel like more emphasis should be on the fact that you need a 3GS to move videos into VS.
Collect3 should seriously consider the ability to protect videos ("movies") that are loaded onto the device from iTunes that are normally accessed from its iPod function. I have several videos in there which I'd like to move directly into VS, but it seems I'll have to use the FTP workaround to get them on there. I'm also happy with the four-digit PIN number instead of a full-blown password, since it makes the app a little easier and quicker to open.
All in all, I am extremely pleased with this app and, despite its few minor flaws, I'm giving it five stars.

Yup, they've made another five star app! I'm personoly not mad that part of this is the same as pic safe, I'm just glad I have this awesome video safe! It is very functional and user freindly. There is one more app I know of that does this but this beats it by a giant step. I usually don't right reviews this long but I have to, this is the best app ever, great price too. :) so even if you're unsure, buy it now and I promise you won't be sorry. WE LOVE U COLLECT3!!!

Alright, first thing I should stress is that I NEVER write reviews for apps. And I mean never ever lol. Anyway after them making this new app update, I felt I had to simply because me and my girlfriend were just wondering how she would get a recorded video that I had saved on my phone. Now the key was to keep our phones with each other while not having anyone see the video. Now with this app, it's all too easy with email and USB transfer. I just felt I had to write something to show my appreciation. You all who have had them save you with a private photo or video should do the same. It doesn't have to be long or detailed. Just a simple "thanks for making an amazing app for an extreamly low price please keep up the good work". That's not even 3 lines and I'm USING my iPhone right now. Anyway I'm just saying thanks to the developers and hoping they will continue making free updates that like the person below me said, "...improve on perfection..."

This is a superb app, combining both video and photo protection from prying eyes. I've been using this software for a while and the developers keep improving it, fixing one persnickety bug after another. All in all this app is very stable, easy to operate, provides an extremely useful function, and the developers go out of their way to help you if you've got a problem. The only change I would love to see is in the Video portion where, unlike the native iPhone/Touch app it will not "Start Playing where you left off". I don't know whether developers have been locked out of that capability, but if it can be added it would be definitely useful to not always have to start a video from the very beginning.

These guys have nailed it already, and it's only 1.0! (Doesn't mean you can stop developing guys!) Incredible web interface with both this and Picture Safe- take over the program from your web browser and manage / upload etc. (now we need drag n drop between folders!) Some cool safety features too - false password takes you to a 'safe' secure area, multi-false attempts can be set to take person to same area, appearing they guessed the code. Good discrete icon & name too. Update- still working perfectly- looking forward to that import from PicSafe feature, given VS has all its functionality, plus video. A suggestion-being able to browse and download images from the net within the prog, and not have to have them first end up in the main iPhone pic area. Secondly, perhaps add the functionality of Cool Iris (another Aussie product) for browsing the libraries/image folders.

This application is one of the most well thought out applications in the AppStore. I have finally learned how to upload videos, and I am really happy I bought this application. However, there is a problem. When someone goes into the "fake" safe, and go into videos, it says something like,"to to settings to upload videos". But when I go back, there is no "settings". This made some of my friends suspicious that it was a "fake" safe. Please fix, thanks!

You guys are Fantastic. You have also given me back my sanity. I am no longer nervous when my nephews and nieces want to borrow my phone at family gatherings. You also have a Cracker Jack Programme that offers and delivers on all of it's promises. I highly recommend it and am looking forward to Updates. I do not know how you will improve on perfection but we will see. ---- Could you please update the import function to leave selected photos grey. ---- Great Application.

Ok, so yeah, it hides your XXX photos *cough* but only WITHIN the program itself. There's no way to get rid of the photos on the home screen. Kinda defeats the purpose. AND you have to add photos one at a time, and I have too many to bother. I'll take my chances with getting caught.
Still a nice try, so I'll give it a two. Until this issue is fixed, don't waste your precious money, no matter how cheap.

This app is incredible! All the details that have gone into this app is just perfect. This is everything that I wanted and more. You get complete privacy and you can view and add your files online, you can set up a dummy password that takes you to a different screen, that you can customize, to show those curious people different files...and it has many other awesome features with great updates coming too. If you're looking for a place to store all those private videos and pictures, this is the definetly the perfect app...definetly worth the $3.99....it's awesome!

Wow, it actually works. I've downloaded three other similar applications, including Video Vault, and simply would not work for importing videos. Video Safe worked on the first try. The interface and password protection are great and even the simple for web access are great. Also note, you can use FTP upload on your Mac by clicking on Go in the Finder menu and then clicking Connect to server. Enter any username and the secure password you created for your copy of Video Safe. Uploading through FTP is faster than web access uploading. Thanks, collect3, for the work you've done in creating this app.

There are several things that I was shaky at first on Buying this app but now that I did this is totally one fantastic app. True it does seem a little confusing when you first start to use it but with in a matter of minutes and the EXCELLENT CUSTOMER service that I received this truly did make it worth wild. If you wanna keep your vids and pics from prying eye's GET THIS APP. The customer service people down in Australia are awesome and they respond really quick. Its a must have.

All the people dissing this App just lack some basic know how. I have successfully transferred photos and videos without issue. It helps to have your iPod/iPhone close to the router to speed up video transfer times. This is a great idea for an App and ignore the bad reviews and get this App. You'll need Codec conversion software like Quicktime PRO to first make a conversion to 480X320. The web browser access interface assists you in choosing which videos to transfer via WiFi. EXCELLENT APP! Only a fool would blame someone else for his ineptness. Downloading videos is using this App is EASY and straight forward! Don't second guess this App because of the dummies out there who can't tie their shoe laces. This App works as stated and is super easy to use. Thank you to the people who developed this awesome App!!!!!!!

Ahhh! It's so nice to have my app back after it was jacked by OS 3.0. I had not realized how much I depended on this app until many of it's features were corrupted by the latest iPhone update. So, thank you to the developers for getting your own update out and getting this excellent program back to full functionality. My only minor quibble is a repeat of a previous reviewer's suggestion. I would like to be able to change the icon to something that generates a little less curiousity from my kids.
