Firstly, I must agree with xPheer. This app is obviously for Hong Kong citizen, I can't see a point to complain about anything about the area. There are two apps in AppStore which provide weather information of Hong Kong. I would greatly recommend this one over another. There is no other reasons but this app has better, far better graphics then the other one. By the way, I also suggest you to check out other apps by this developer. Those are good local apps for Hong Kong people.

I am in Hong Kong for business these few days and found this invaluable. A typhoon is looming and there is no way of telling the typhoon signal and detailed forecase with the built in app. I found myself checking this app every hour as all my meetings will be cancelled in case of a signal #8. My view? Any app on the US site should not be location specific but language specific. Now that the app is in English, it should definite stay in the US site. Can we have more cities from other developers please.

Yes, many Brits live and work in Hong Kong and it has to be said that this app is invaluable, especially during the typhoon season!
Version 2 is even better with rain, wind and temperature maps but the interface has become a bit odd: I couldn't find the 7-day forecast, until I discovered that I could scroll down the page. Maybe tabs: Current/7-Day/Temp/Rain/Wind/Typhoon track etc. would be more intuitive?

I don't understand why people who are not interested in HK weather would bother to write negative reviews, which only serve to bring down the overall rating and it's just not fair.
As someone who lives in Hong Kong, I can tell you that this provides far more detailed information than the Yahoo widget that is pre-installed on the iPhone and that the Weather Bug application is next to useless here. This connects to the Hong Kong Observatory and provides all of the information that you need, whether you live here or you're planning a trip here.
I'm having trouble getting this to display in English (which is why I only rated it 4 stars instead of 5) but the developer has been VERY responsive to my emails!

That's exactly what you need if you are located in HK. Gets all info from awful but useful HK observatory website and puts it directly on your iPhone. Hope push notifications could alert you on typhoon/thunderstorm signals issued. Overall, great app.

This app pulls information directly from the official HK Observatory Web site, and packages it in a very effective way. It's fast, simple and very handy. I especially like how any weather warnings are presented in a red bar at the top of the main screen - very clever.

The stupidity of some reviewers amazes me. I have no use for this app, but it's clear that this is an essential for anyone who lives in or travels to hong kong. Why would you download this app if you live in colorado and then complain about it? You're the idiot for downloading an app you have no use for, don't hurt the developer because you can't read before you click download.

Funny how ignorant some people are. Hmm, if an app is titled Hong Kong weather...I wonder what it could be? Learn to read what an app is first instead of downloading everything that's free, just to complain about it later. P.S. The olympics were in china.
