Animated satellite images and interactive forecast and tracking maps help you see where these monster storms are heading. Text bulletins give you the detailed information you need.
No storms right now? No problem! We keep track of the tropics through Tropical Outlooks, issued every 6 hours from the National Hurricane Center, Central Pacific Hurricane Center, and the JTWC. "Invest" information can be found in the Tropical Outlook and Tropical Discussion text products.
Hurricane helps you track all tropical storms tracked by the National Hurricane Center and Central Pacific Hurricane Center! Select a currently active storm, inactive storm or past season storm to view every detail available for that storm. Use the arrows to move between plots on the broadcast quality interactive tracking map, viewing each plot's detailed information including wind speed, lat/lon, speed/direction, pressure, date and time, and your distance from each point. For active storms, move through the forecast cone and view each of the points, estimated wind speed, and your distance from each forecast point.
No other hurricane tracking app offers this level of detail on the iPhone and iPod Touch!
Detailed interactive tracking maps are only one part of what Hurricane provides. Animated Satellites, Radar, Spaghetti / Computer Models are all available for currently active storms.
Data Feed provides satellites, Tropical Outlooks, Sea Surface Temperatures and of course text bulletins for the Atlantic and Pacific Basins in addition to a list of this season’s storm names and the Saffir-Simpson Hurricane Scale.

After buying My Fox Hurricane I quickly realized my mistake. The functionality (fox) was terrible were it existed at all. I really couldn't believe FOX would put out anything that BAD. I then purchased "Hurricane by Kitty Code" and saw what a true Hurricane application was. This app is all it says it is and more. Great views and rapid updates utilizing 3.0.....Don't make the mistake I did: Buy this app from the beginning, it's all you'll need!

Done a lot of research to find a Hurricane App to fill my interest and needs for living on the gulf coast. I dealt with Katrina in a semi blind fashion. But with this app, I won't miss a beat. Bravo Kitty. Bravo.
Wrote an earlier review just as I got app. Was very impressed, even at a time when tropics were dull. Now, vacationing in Destin, Claudette is giving us what she's got. And I am missing nothing with this app. I would recommend this to anyone with any interest in the tropics.

I just got this a few minutes ago and found out everything I need to know. This is an all in one app love it! Haven't paid attention to the weather in a few days. Just now my phone was sending several text at one time so I decided to look at them. It was weather advisories. I had no idea there was a disturbance in the gulf. Got this app and found out everything I needed to know. Great app you won't be disapointed.

All the information I need in one convenient location. Living south of New Orleans I have had the opportunity to see the aftermath of Katrina first hand. This app allows me to view all the data needed from reputable sources to make well informed decisions regarding the safety and security of family, property, and business at my convenience without having to view multiple websites or having to wait for the next weather update. This is one slick hurricane tracker. It shows current storms with a map, path, and details of each step as you step through its path on the map. It shows past storms (through 1851) and lets you step through the path on a map with statistices at each step. There is a satellite view which also has links to many reports, bulletins, and bits of information: sea temps, NHC text bulletins, Atlantic & Pacific outlook, sea surface temps, and much more. Very slick, very good looking, easy to navigate, and very informative. Take a look at the description at the App Store, it's long and it's detailed. And the program does all that!

I had tried out the Tracking the Eye application first just because it was cheaper and found it severely lacking; I should have bought this tracking app first. The map is interactive letting me see all the information I want for each storm, it's not just a web image. Being as though I live in an area where hurricanes are a threat each year, this application gives me everything I need to stay up to date.

I live 1 mile from the ocean in SC and need a way to quickly keep track of storms during hurricane season. I bought the app yesterday to start tracking Bill, the first category 4 hurricane of the year. This app is great! The hurricane is laid over maps with pinch to zoom functionality, forward and reverse tracking details along its path, and fantastic radar and forecast images. It also shows distance to your current location using GPS. I would upgrade to 5 stars if it had push notification options and updated more than every 6 hours. But other than that, worth every penny - great job, Kitty Code!

Absolutely love this one. Keeps you up to date on current storms (I have a sis in S Fla to keep tabs on), and has a ton of info on past storms for hurricane nerds such as myself. All the info you'd ever need in 1 place. Great job guys.
