What kills me are comments like "not worth $2" . Think about it. Two bucks! You can't even get a cup of coffee for two dollars! Two dollars is nothing! You pay $30/month just for the iPhone service! How petty, absurd! Of course this is worth $2. You are in the early years of app development. Someday these apps will go for... let's see: $19.95? Be thankful they're giving these apps away as they determine the market. Great app! By the way, it is not just the previous comment I am responding to. I see comments like this everywhere.

Can't understand why anyone would rate less than 4 or 5 stars. I open the app, it loads the NWS info for the communities I've configured, voilà! At-a-glance summary list for multiple locations, click on one to drill down for more info. Took me < 10 minutes after downloading to set up 11 location bookmarks. Info loads WAY faster than NOAA community/location web page - was using that already - and gives me multiple locations instead of just one per page.

This app provides the exact forecasts that I view regularly from the NOAA NWS site. Turn on location services to let the app find you, otherwise you can manually enter locations. Replaced 1 star review with 5 now (had issue with getting land forecasts). The key: email the developer. The cure:
Please make sure you have the latest version (2.0) as updates are currently free.  The application should attempt to locate you if there are no forecasts configured.  You can also manually add forecast locations:
• In Land 'Forecasts & Events' press the [Settings] button (top right)
•Press [Locate] (bottom) to have the app automatically locate you...
•Press[+] to manually add a location:
◦In 'Find Forecast' type in 'City, St' or a zip code
◦Press [Search]
◦Press [Enable Forecast]
•Press [Done] (top right)

A great app! The additon of the marine forecast makes this quite useful for sailors and the animated radar is both fast and beautiful. This is now the only weather app I use. Thank you NWS!

This one gives you straight weather info, that's what I need  The only thing i would like to see done is, when you switch to map view, that it marks your location, and outlines the counties. Also the radar, besides base reflective, can we get an easier to read radar also, like on TV News?

The NOAA is where every other weather app gets their info. The full motion radar loads ten times faster than any other app. Interface is a little clunky but easy once you see how it works. Those reviewers that claim this is a text only app are the same people that elected Obama.

This app is great now! It has radar right off nws local staion!! Weather maps, warings!! Before update it wasen't worth it now it is!! P.s if you are a perovis owner you have to go to settings and enabled weather forecast

This is the best 2 bucks I have spent in a long time. NOAA has the best forecasts, and now I can check the forecast and look at radar in no time! Would highly recommend.

Great Application for storm chasers

I like that I can select several states and watch when warnings and watches are issued. The maps are very detailed and the color graphics are excellent. This is a great application for storm chasers. I also like that the user is able to select of deselect the kinds of warnings issued such as Volcano, High Wind, Civil Emergency, Etc..

So what if this is not an official National Weather Service product? It works well for my needs; quickly viewing the weather for multiple locations. The animated radars load nice and quick too. Push notifications would be awesome!!!
