INTRO:
Weather sourced directly from the Australian Bureau of Meteorology (BOM) - an Australian Source for Australian Weather, makes sense doesn't it?
This is the Lite version of Pocket Weather AU. It has only a small fraction of the features the full application. Because try before you buy is all the rage these days.
FEATURES:
- Forecast & observation data for hundreds of areas around Australia (every single location that the BOM has, we have)
- Automatically find your local weather using your current location
- Last update is always cached, so you don't need a network connection to check the weather for the week, once you've got it once.
- Updates are tiny (less than 10kb) so you don't have to worry about your iPhone data cap.

Mate recommended I check this out.
I LOVE the fact that it supports offline use. Absolute must for people like me who are often offline. I just get the weather before work and have it handy for the rest of the day.
I'm upgrading to the full version to get more features (And there are so many), this free version is still better than any other free weather app I have used.
Now it just needs some hot girls in bikinies on a beach and it'll be perfect. ;)

This is such agreat app. Far better then the native iPhone weather app. Excellent visual interface, great up to date information from the horse's mouth (BOM). If it doesn't win an award I'll be surprised. Can I nominate it somewhere?

Nice little app. Gives a useful taste of what you'd get in the full version and does not go down the advertising route.

Just what I needed - great app. Lite version is just fine if you only need 1 city. Adds heaps of info compared to the Weather icon included in the iPhone which is pretty basic.

You can be sure you'll be getting accurate weather info since it's sourced from the BOM; the Apple-Yahoo inbuilt app is so inaccurate The lite version has everything you need, so good on ya, ShiftyJelly!

Just marvelous. I use it every day, everone I've shown it to has been impressed. The fact it hooks into the BOM site means it's always accurate and up to date. Clean, simple interface too. Only thing is this free version is so good I'm not sure I'd want to change to the full version!

Not sure what the last guys problem is. Maybe he gets a kick back from the competition.This app does a great job giving you the current weather and forecasts. It does not have all the extras of the paid version or other paid weather apps but it is free and accurate.
