Thanks Amr & Osama! So, I first bought this app when I bought my iPad, and it would not find San Francisco. I sent a quick email and was immediately sent a response from tech support telling me they were sorry and a fix had been submitted. Today I got an email from them letting me know the fix was ready...I downloaded it and all is well. The pictures are amazingly nice, accurate info, too. For 99 cents it's a great app, thanks guys! Looking forward to your next app.

As someone who is entranced by eye candy I find Weather HD incredibly beautiful. My initial experience was tarnished by the fact that my town or even cities in my region (like San Francisco, CA) weren't available in the Cities search. Rather than immediately downgrade the app, I wrote the developer. Within an hour I had received a response telling me that he knew the issue and had already fixed the problem but the new version had to go through the App Store selection process. The new version should be available shortly and expecting that I give this app a five star rating for the sheer beauty.

This application is no doubt amazingly beautiful. It's quite soothing to say to the least. The UI is perfect and I wish I could choose this as the default charging screen instead of the picture viewer that I don't use.As with finding cities, the application does suffer from a little latency, and sometimes you need to type one-letter at a time and scroll a bit to find the city you need added.This is well worth the 99¢ paid.

This app does exactly what it says it does. There's not a lot to it but the developer only claims that it shows the current weather and you can see the forecast too. As everyone says the animations are great. The only request I could ask for would be a clock displayed on the main screen. Then I could set it out on my desk and use it as a clock and weather app.Negative reviews are only from people that didn't read the description or look at the screenshots. If you want a basic weather app with awesome and gorgeous animations get this app!

I don't often write reviews but when a developer puts this much effort into an app, it deserves to get high marks. I also think charging less than a buck for this app is absolutely and totally worth it. No other weather app has this kind of polish and they deserve to be compensated for that. From what I've seen from their comments, they are extremely attentive to feature requests. Bottom line is that for me it is totally worth it.

The best Weather application on the store. It is really beautiful. I had a problem and reported it and received a response with a solution and a probable date for an update that would totally fix my problem. It is always great to receive good service even for a dollar spent. Good for the developer. This is without the most beautiful way to check the weather. I hope new screens are added with time.

This app is the perfect weather companion for anyone who appreciates a visual representation of the current weather and future weather conditions. The video conditions are absolutely stunning, and run seamlessly. The location database is expansive, finding the secluded hometown where i live, that the weather channel and NOAA cannot find. If you are going to spend a mere $.99 on anything, spend it on Weather HD. You will not be disappointed with your purchase. The developers also respond to your suggestions promptly, and consider everything you have to say.

Pretty, just like the iPad.

A very nice looking app to show off the great display on the iPad, and a steal at 99 cents. Beyond that, the developer seems like a very good one, having responded to my email in less than 24 hours assuring me they'll be adding features in future updates, such as "refreshing" periodically if you want to use the app in a stand and have it updated frequently, automatically. Very much looking forward to that update and I highly recommend any iPad owner pick this app up while it's so cheap. It's really a no brainer.

Soothing for my desktop at work ;)

It's my default app currently, watching the clouds flow by me, like a surreal flying dream sequence. Another video sequence I enjoyed was the rain falling as the 'camera' flys on through. Too bad the weather is so boring for the most part in the San Francisco Bay Area ;) I guess I'll add cities when extreme weather is reported (Dust Storms, like those that occurred in Australia and Hurricanes/Cyclones).Had an initial problem in not finding any local cities, developer responded in a very timely fashion and fix implemented/launched in a day. Well done.This is a wonderfully simple app.

I purchased this App when it first came out. I love the visuals. The iPad really makes them pop. Everyone I show them to agrees. I had an issue with the first version of this App as it was missing some cities. I had two specific ones but I'm sure there were others. I contacted vimov and notified them of this. Not only did I receive an email from them within hours, but they informed me that they were working on adding other cities and that my two specific ones were in the update. True to their word, version 1.0.1 included my two missing cities. I am now a happy camper.

Good but just a little bit more work and will be perfect

First things first, it look gorgeous !Put it on a stand and let the HD video flow.But... It will be great if it could update live instead of restarting the app, it could be great to that it don't stop the music when you run it, more city (international one I mean).And maybe as a Christmas gift in advance, translation (there is not so much to translate here).But a very good job for the rest, I doesn't regret my choice

This app makes a great screensaver for your iPad when it is docked and sitting idle. This reminds me of a "dream app" that I had heard about 2-3 years ago so it's amazing that it's now a reality! Four stars, would get five stars if it found my city faster. Presently it is taking 2-3 minutes to find cities and initially I thought it was failing, but it's just slow. So when demoing it I no longer ask people "hey, what's your home town?" because I know that will just reveal it's weakness. Great deal at $0.99 and makes an excellent example of the rich experiences that the iPad can facilitate.

Totally love the app, use it on a daily basis. A couple updates that I would LOVE to see:1) The option to make all the UI items disappear (settings button, city name, forecast, etc,) by maybe tapping once on the screen to see nothing but the video (like on many native iPad OS apps.)2) The option to turn the iPad's sleep mode off, so you can leave it on this app forever while docked (like some clock apps.)3) A "slideshow" function where it can cycle through all your bookmarked locations automatically.4) I understand that this one takes much more work but it would be great to see SOME location-specific content. For instance, I live in Manhattan, so maybe it can pull a video of it raining over the NYC skyline or the Statue of Liberty.Thanks so much for the app and hopefully this review will help!

This is an updated review that takes into account the newest feature additions. The graphics are great, but the substance is still a little lacking...No hourly forecast.No radar animation, so you can't see weather or temperature over time.No sound, which would be especially nice with the thunderstorm animation!You can only get to another location in series; you can't jump 3 locations ahead, for instance. I would much rather have a drop down / select mechanism than a left / right arrow. Heck, give me both and I'll be extra happy :) But to the developer's credit, they are adding these features in a future version. Once they do, I'll revise my review yet again.But for what it does, it's nice! Definitely a wow factor to impress your friends :)

Simple, Sleek, and beautiful

LOVE the pictures. I'd love to have more than 2 for each type of weather.While it would be nice to have it show more data about weather conditions, I don't really feel it is necessary and might clutter up what is now a sleek and beautiful app. If I want details, radar maps, 10 day forecasts, etc, I'll use one of the other weather apps that is made for that type of information. My kids and I loved searching for other cities and seeing what their current weather was.An improvement that I'd love is a more flexible search. Right now, you have to search for exactly what you want and include commas. For example, we searched for St. Louis, and it came back not found. I had to search for "Saint Louis, MO". I'd like the search engine to be more intelligent/flexible as to how I input city names.

Great Concept - but it could use a few additions.. maybe via in-app purchase?

I like the idea of using the ipad as a little info console while it sits on your desk.. and this app is great for that..I'd add a few things;- have the app get updates to the weather info while it sits on the screen - while it sits it should have the time (and the time of the last update from the weather service)- the forecast should look better.. have it pop up a bit more and maybe it cycles through upcoming days- in general the application should provide a bit more as it sits on the desk.. forcast, other locationsideas for in-app purchase;- custom video loop packs (perhaps from your city)- weather charts over time and other features from the more expansive weather apps out there.

I am loving this app. For those of you having problems try either reinstalling the app or when searching for cities only type in the city name and see if that helps as it did the trick for me.

I was looking for an app to replace the default weather one apple decided to leave out. Wanted one that was quick and displayed the temp so I can see it right away, no nonsense I don't need. This does that perfectly and beautifully.
