It's not free, but it's cheap and the closest thing to an iPhone version of the popular "Radar in Motion" dashboard app you're going to find. Fullscreen and landscape with satellite maps. Finally! It does occasionally have some issues talking to the servers apparently, mostly when zooming or panning, but if you give it a few seconds it usually sorts itself out. The best thing to me is it isn't loaded down with unnecessary features. It's a weather radar, that's all, and a damn good one!

Perfect no-frills weather radar app. Great graphics and animation. It locates you via GPS and pulls up the radar as soon as you open the app. Great for driving when you want to bring up the radar around your location without wading through several screens or entering location. Also offers search feature to view weather in other areas. I can't speak for the $10 apps but this one is definately worth $0.99.

This app works pretty well overall. Most of the things that people are complaining about have been fixed, including a "Classic" version for all those whining about loss of some feature or other. The GoogleMaps api allows a great deal of map control, more so than would otherwise be feasible for such a cheap application. I mean really, what do you want for a buck? A custom coded high resolution map with every feature and detail imaginable? That's just unrealistic. For the price, this application delivers quite a bit of value. With the improvements such as a pin for your GPS position that have been requested elsewhere, this will be a great application.
UPDATE: I bought this at a time when most people were saying things along the lines of "OMG this app used to be great but you RUINED IT!!". At the time I thought it was a pretty decent app. The updates since then have been amazing. This app has come so far from the original as to be unrecognizable. Every feature that I could want is now included. It streams very fast over wi-fi and I love the fact that it does not wait for the entire radar image to download before displaying the first frame. It is now by far my favorite weather app and one of my faves overall. If your reading this and trying to decide if you should buy it or not, buy it. You won't regret it.

Fantastic app -- does exactly what I want: shows me the weather, cloud coverage, video tracking for previous couple of hours. I zoom in & out to get better ideas of what's coming; I check out the weather for numerous family & friends scattered up and down the east coast, especially now that hurricane season is gearing up - it all is so intuitive & easy to use, flows smoothly, *very* nice graphics. Yup, perfect! Thanks to the developer :)

This is exactly what the IPhone is all about (those of us from a previous time knew it as a "tri-Corder" and we've been patiently waiting for it since 1968)!Last weekend I was on I-20 between Shreveport and Dallas. The weather was frighteningly bad. I had my IPhone on a dash board mount with a nearly realtime weather picture right in front of my eyes. I could tell within minutes when I was coming to a fresh rain squall, and just as importantly, how long the downpour would last and when I could expect it to let up. Get this app. It's great now, and it is only going to get better!

I love this app. I am on the road often and sometimes determin the route to take by looking at the weather pattern. I know you must think i am crazy but i have two st. Bernards and a bull mastiff. Theres nothing worse than soggy dog smell on a long trip.With that being said, if I see rain ahead I will plan to stop at a rest stop to let my dogs out prior to rain.I also have vacation houses up north and I can check out storm directions when it's bad.I also use it if I am wanting to do yard work. I can get a good idea on timing.App has a lot of potential and better than it used to be.It would be great if it showed my position on the road.
